Halloween Decorating in a Jiffy

Since I spend so much time decorating for fall, I don’t invest much energy into Halloween decorating. Although I enjoy my neighbors’ outdoor decorations, my home doesn’t get many spooky embellishments. I don’t know about where you live, but around these parts Halloween is quickly becoming the next Christmas when it comes to decorations! In fact, in a day or two I’m gonna show you how one of my neighbors went all out! You don’t want to miss it! So anyway … today I put together some Halloween decorating in a jiffy.

Halloween decorating via Town and Country LivingYou’ve probably noticed my pumpkin of choice is white.

I like the pale pumpkins since they also lend themselves to Thanksgiving decorating.

White Baby Boo Pumpkins and Gourds via Town and Country Living A rustic crate turned on its side becomes an impromptu display for gourds and Baby Boo pumpkins.

I like to get as much mileage as possible out of decorations.

Halloween decorating via Town and Country LivingSince I don’t typically carve pumpkins, I drag out my candlesticks to cast a glow.

Vintage Halloween Banner via Town and Country LivingLast year I made this vintage Halloween banner using book pages, vintage graphics, and twine.

Then I applied a coat of Mod Podge over the entire page to help preserve it.

On Halloween I’ll put a bunch of mason jars with candles out on the porch for the Trick or Treaters.

And starting next week …

  1. Love your Halloween decorating in a jiffy!! So pretty!!

  2. It’s all pretty, but I particularly like the banner, so I will pin it to my banner board.

  3. The Rusty Pearl (Sherry) says:

  4. I love your cute unspooky decor. You brought hay in the house. You are braver than me. It’s so messy.

  5. I love this for fall and your banner is so sweet and vintage looking. I don’t decorate for Halloween but this soft touch is really nice.

  6. Your garland is so cute, Jennifer! BTW, I love your Christmas tree photo on your sidebar. I want to do that to one of my trees this year (cutting some branches out), because it looks so much like photos I have of my Mom’s trees in the early 50’s!

  7. Love it all, but especially love the cute little garland. Great job as always!!!

  8. I love this spirited display! The crate makes a great backdrop, and your banners are wonderful! So fun and simple.

  9. Every thing looks great and I love the banner!!!! We never have done decorating for Halloween!

  10. Your Halloween touches are perfect! I swear I can’t find those baby boos anywhere here. I love them and they are such a nice change from orange. I’ll just have to admire yours!
