About 5 weeks remain until Christmas which means there is still time to make handmade Christmas ornaments for your tree or to give as gifts. Today I’m sharing a round-up of ornaments that you can make by yourself or with your children. Some of the DIY ornaments are mine, and some are the beautiful creations of my blogging friends.
I hope you find a few you’d like to make yourself! I’ve got a couple on my to-do list!
Adorable Cookie Cutter Ornaments with jingle bells from Shannon at AKA Design. So cute and so easy to do!
I love paper ornaments of any kind. I think it’s because it takes me back to childhood days of creating paper Christmas chains at school. These pretty paper ornaments are by Dinah at DIY Inspired.
I recently made Origami Glitter Stars using script scrapbook paper. I’m anxious to hang these on the tree.
My friend Lucy at Craftberry Bush had a great idea to make Scented Christmas Ornaments. These would especially be great on a faux tree that doesn’t have that wonderful pine smell!
DIY globe ornaments are all the rage and I love this simple Glitter Believe Globe Ornament from Jeanie at Create and Babble. It’s charming and elegant!
Dinah at DIY Inspired made these pretty Woodland Glass Ornaments. You could use these ornaments at other times of the year too.
I made my own Snow Globe Ornaments this year. These are so easy to make and I love how they turned out!
My friend Alice at Thoughts from Alice put a unique twist on handmade Christmas ornaments with her Rustic Twig Feather Arrows. She’s such an amazing artist!
Six more days until Christmas. How does it always sneak up on us so quickly? The days of waking early to join young children by the Christmas tree are gone. Instead, hubby and I get to enjoy a peaceful morning in our breakfast nook now adorned with a Christmas floral chandelier, before the scurry of…
To help beat the cabin fever that has been settling in, I ran out to the store and picked up a houseplant, and I don’t know if it was the weather affecting me or what, but I thought this cute little ivy could use some color … so I made colorful button flowers to brighten…
In just 16 days we’ll be celebrating Christmas! I haven’t bought a single gift yet. Have you? I need to do some serious shopping soon! I’ll blame my lack of present shopping on the fact that I’ve been busy decking the halls for Christmas. Today I’m joining a group of bloggers for the inaugural “All…
Now that my home is cleaned and the halls are properly decked with boughs of holly and other finery, I thought I’d have a little fun taking photos of my vintage mirrors reflecting the twinkly lights of my Christmas tree. I thoroughly enjoyed capturing reflections of Christmas on a quiet, snowy afternoon. My shabby little…
Happy Tuesday, Friends! We’re nearing the Big Day!! I truly hope your holidays are happy or that you’re able to find some joy or peace if life is a struggle right now. Christmas Day is never perfect for anyone even though the movies might lead us to believe otherwise. To keep your spirits energized, my…
Bottle brush trees are my favorite Christmas decoration, but a very close second on the favored holiday decor list are poinsettias! I love this flower’s festive color and bushy shape. Many people find this holiday flower a bit finicky, but with a little knowledge you’ll know how to care for poinsettias. A quick email…
These are all great. I especially love the ornaments made from scrapbooking paper – there are so many beautiful papers to choose from!
