Historic Cottage, a Beautiful Jane Austen Bedroom + More: Friday Finds
This time of year is a little confusing for me. Summer isn’t over (nor do I want it to be) and fall hasn’t quite begun. I do love the autumn season but not when it means I have to bid farewell to long, warm days. While I want to get excited for fall, I feel melancholy over losing summer. Sigh. Does anyone else feel that way or are most of you happily anticipating pumpkin spice season?
I love today’s line-up of Friday Finds that range from a historic Midwest cottage to chicken pot pie comfort food. Hope you like today’s inspiration!
I’m starting today’s Friday Finds with the most adorable, historic home in Granville, Ohio. Known as the Bancroft Cottage, it’s available to rent through VRBO! Granville is a New England style town located in the heart of Ohio. It’s been on my bucket list to visit as I’ve seen gorgeous Granville homes featured in Country Living magazine. The entire town looks quaint and inviting.
Next, discover this Jane Austen inspired bedroom over at Wildflower Home. You’ll get to see three versions of this pretty room before the final version. All of the variations are quite appealing.
With fall a few months away, I’ve been looking for some new, soft throws for our TV room. Garnet Hill has beautiful cotton fleece throws that are perfect. I love the colors and patterns.
Here’s a pretty home with an English country vibe throughout. The dining nook next to the kitchen is especially charming.
Who’s a fan of chicken pot pie? I found this yummy-looking recipe that can be made with either homemade or store-bought pie crust. I don’t eat meat but these would be great with just vegetables.
Today’s features end with this beautiful kitchen dressed in Dutch blue cabinets. The details are pretty amazing!
Enjoy your weekend and the last days of summer!
Granville is a treasure. My old stomping grounds.
