Lately I’m becoming more and more drawn to anything made with book pages! Within minutes the words on a book’s page take you to another place and time. The musty smell of an old book with an elegant cover is a sensory pleasure I’ll always treasure. And when you’re done with a book, you can transform it into a work of art. I’ve been collecting books for projects around the house and thanks to Pinterest, I’m finding an unending supply of crafts to make from inexpensive books found at yard sales and thrift stores. Some of the following creations are mine … some belong to others and they’ve been credited.
This year I’m really looking forward to Christmas! My decorating is almost done and that means I can spend the weeks leading up to Christmas enjoying other things … like spending more time with family and friends, baking, attending holiday events, and more. And… my holiday home tour is next Tuesday! Eek! I hope you’ll stop…
They say Christmas is for kids, but I still love Christmas. With each passing year I’m drawn more and more to the nostalgia of Christmas past. Memories of childhood Christmases haunt me and I find myself wanting to recreate that magical experience. So it’s no surprise that this year I’m dreaming of a vintage Christmas….
Are you ready for Christmas?? I finished the last of my shopping yesterday, and finished the last of my Christmas projects early last week. I made a few paper mache Christmas boxes that I wanted to create last year, but ran out of time. I promised I’d make them this year and got them done…
Hello Friends! It’s our final Style Showcase before the holidays. My friends and I are sharing one last bit of Christmas inspiration. Can you believe Christmas is next week already? I can’t! Anywho – I hope you enjoy what my friends and I are sharing today! Fox Hollow Cottage | Vintage Christmas In Our…
Have you noticed that the weeks between Thanksgiving and Christmas fly by faster than any other days of the year? It’s like we’re all flying along with Santa at warp speed to get everything done. Today I’m taking a deep breath and putting together a simple Christmas brunch table setting. (This post contains affiliate links.)…
Tomorrow is Thanksgiving! It seems like the days of summer were just yesterday but here in Illinois we already have a light dusting of snow on the ground. Snow always puts me in the Christmas Spirit and I’m happy to announce that coming next week is a Christmas Home Tour you don’t want to miss!…
How inspirational…I love your butterfly boxes Jennifer. They’ll sell for sure! I really like book page crafts myself and lucky for me my daughter works at Half Price Books and my niece works at a library. Both of them keep me in good supply of pages. “:o) Now to get busy and do something with them. I don’t think I realized you had an etsy shop…I’m going to check it out.

What fun book page projects, Jennifer! I bought an old dictionary at Goodwill a couple of years ago and I’m still waiting to find some good projects for those pages. I never even thought of looking on Pinterest for ideas.
Very neat projects. Each is unique. I love books and old books even more. I would feel uncomfortable cutting up a book. Where do you get the books for transformatio? Maybe I could cut up paperbacks! I see several projects of interest if I can get over the cutting hesitation. Would love to learn your source. Hugs, Ginger
