Quaint Kitchen Details to Personalize Your Space
Personalizing a room is what makes your house a home, and in turn, makes it more enjoyable and comfortable. Following are a few quaint kitchen details to give it extra charm and personality – whether it’s a statement sink, wall art, or even pots and pans on display. (This post contains affiliate links.)
A Scandinavian style room shows off favorite mugs on a rack, while a cutting board with fern artwork creates a focal point. A cute sink skirt takes the place of cabinet doors, providing a simple homey look.
Do you have pots, pans, or dishes in a pretty color? Put them on display, like my daughter who has pink mugs and plates.
Take your farmhouse decorating to the next level with pigs and chickens! Even the dish towel gets in on the action.
A chalkboard wall is a great way to personalize any room. Write a new saying on the wall from time to time.
Open shelves also create a great space for displaying items that suit your taste. Of course, I’m a fan of the plants and have a few on the shelves in my own kitchen.
A truly easy way to personalize your space is to change out the hardware on cabinet drawers and doors. Some drawer pulls can be rather expensive, but there are plenty of affordable choices too. You can even get lucky at flea markets and find cabinet knobs that are truly unique.
Create a cozy little nook in your kitchen with a pair of pendant lights. Keep utensils within reach by using a rod to hang them. Of course, I love the cactus which is a great choice for you if you forget to water plants.
Kitchen details in this charming gray-blue space include herbs for cooking and a quaint coffee sign – which gives me an idea for a future blog post. Stay tuned!

Kitchen Wallpaper: Is It for You?
I don’t know if this comment counts, however, we are in the process of painting kitchen cabinets. 🙂
Though the kitchen is in a bit of a shamble, having the open cabinet concept (for now) has helped me either move, get rid of, and view what works well for the function of the kitchen.
Where we grab coffee, utensils and mugs are important to start our mornings so it was moved recently. Soon my husband will be placing back the doors and drawers with the off white creamy color along with crystal door pullers. I will be excited to see how they echo off cool blue walls which the cabinets will match ecru curtains on the other side with a dinning room.
It has been a llllllllllong process, but I am excited!!
Your sweet article reminded me to be patience as we pull the kitchen back together over the next few weeks.
