Today’s kitchen feature is sure to brighten your day and put a smile on your face. Nordic white cabinets pair with a cheery shade of spring green on the island in this Swedish modern kitchen by Aidan Design.
The custom window with an arched cut-out in the ceiling at the far end immediately grabs your attention and adds to the whimsy of the light and bright kitchen. But then the bright green kitchen island commands your attention and draws you into the space. Gold hardware lends an elegant touch to the refreshing modern style.
An identical circle-topped window lets in natural light next to the stove. The brightly patterned tile is fun and picks up the green shade of the kitchen island. Leather bar stools echo the shade of the copper hood. It might have been a safer choice to use white bar stools, but I like the warmth that’s added by the leather upholstery. It’s an expected touch that works well.
How could you not start your day with a smile when walking into this Swedish modern kitchen for your breakfast or morning cup of coffee? The kitchen opens up to a dining area and family room. You’ll notice that the sectional sofa at the far left is also a bright shade of green.
Playful red Windsor chairs cozy up to the modern, white dining table. Yellow gerbera daisies make a pretty centerpiece that’s perfect for spring or summer. It reminds me of a furniture display you’d see in IKEA.
