See How to Layer Pretty Prints: Lake Tahoe Home

Let’s take a break from Christmas decor and see how to layer pretty prints while touring a beautiful Lake Tahoe home by Jute Interior Design. The house was a renovation project and was transformed with white paneling, whimsical prints and plaids, and a few coastal touches. The result is a refreshing, uncluttered residence with amazing views of the lake.

You might recognize the plaid living room couch. I recently shared it in my post about the charm of plaid. I love how the table lamps pull out the bit of teal in the couch. I learned about doing this same thing when mixing fabrics and colors in clothing when I worked at the Merra-Lee Petite shop in Geneva many moons ago.

A small, brick corner fireplace is painted black to give it some drama and warmth. Look carefully and you’ll notice the drapes feature a soft script, the same as the shade in the photo above. And of course, you can’t miss that amazing view out the window to the deck. Breathtaking!

A pair of dark teal accent chairs add color and cozy comfort. Note that the paneling in this Lake Tahoe home is used on the ceiling as well as the walls. A simple vining pattern in the rug works well with the colors and plaid pattern in the couch.

Black Windsor-style bar stools cozy up to the kitchen island that doubles as a table. Warm grays and wood complement the white walls. A pot rack hangs on the wall over the gorgeous vintage-style stove.

Wood shelves are adhered to the wall with unique hardware. Creamy dishes make a pretty display while also serving as everyday plates and mugs.

One of the home’s exterior doors incorporates a large glass window so you won’t miss a view of the lake when the door is closed. A simple striped throw and straw hat lend texture on the wall and can easily be grabbed before heading outside.

Step outside to the deck and see why this Lake Tahoe home is a prized piece of real estate. It just doesn’t get any better than this! The design of the outside table, chair, and bench are perfect for the gorgeous backdrop.

The master bedroom pairs large flowers on the quilt with a smaller geometric print on the pillow shams in the same color scheme. The prints are pretty with the woven head board.

A guest bedroom introduces mustard yellow with gray. The large floral drapes aren’t overwhelming because smaller prints are used on the lumbar bed pillow and the rug.

I want this bathroom! I love everything about it, from the hexagonal tile floor to the charming bathtub, cafe curtains, and the big window with the best bathing view ever!

A fun fox wallpaper print graces the upper half of the bathroom wall in the Lake Tahoe home along with an adorable double farmhouse sink.

And then there’s a whimsical flying geese wallpaper print outside another bathroom that features a pretty vanity with a vintage mirror.
