Spring Home Tour: Flirting with Yellow
Welcome to my spring home tour! The sun is shining, the birds are singing, and there’s a lightness to my step as the days get a little bit longer with every passing 24 hours. (This post contains affiliate links.)
It’s spring home tour week organized by Marty at a Stroll Thru Life. If you’re following the tour, then you’ve probably come here from my friend Suzy’s blog – Worthing Court.
When it comes to seasonal decor, I usually find inspiration from color, and this season I’m flirting with yellow. It’s not a color I use a lot in my home, but I like the energy it adds to a space. I’ve been snatching up yellow tulips at Fresh Market every time I see them. I bought a new sansaveria (snake plant), too. It’s the smaller one that sits on my new glass-front cabinet.
Some new pillows and a textured throw join my entryway bench. The pillows are from Cocoon and the throw is from Home Goods. The blanket is light weight – perfect for spring – and I love its nubby texture and knotted fringe.
A golden yellow pillow and daffodils add a little spring fever to my sitting room. I’m obsessed with these textured pillows from Cocoon and have several more in my family room. I’m saving that room for a blog post sometime next week.
Do you like my stone bunny on the mantel? I found him at Pottery Barn and couldn’t resist. More yellow tulips make their appearance, too.
The other corner of the sitting room didn’t get any new spring adornments – but it does have the new black candlesticks I found on sale at Pottery Barn.
Here’s a view from my kitchen through the sitting room and into the entryway and dining room.
Readers always ask where I got the feather prints that you see here in my dining room. They’re from Antique Farm House which carries stock on a rotating basis so you don’t know when something will be offered again.
My large stone artisan vase holds some dried greens and flowers. It looked bare sitting empty and this faux bouquet from HomeGoods did the the trick.
A second stone bunny takes center stage on my dining room table. My kitty was quite intrigued with him and kept pawing at him trying to get the bunny to move.
Mignette was never successful in getting the bunny to move so she decided to join him instead, striking the same pose!
My lamb picture still hangs above the console table with its big baskets where I store extra throws and sometimes pillows. People ask where the door on the right leads – it’s the laundry room.
Have you noticed a theme of plants throughout my home? I almost killed this rubber plant but fortunately nursed it back to health. I love when that happens. A little further down the console table is my new bronze rabbit.
He’s from my favorite store in Geneva – Cocoon. I found the bronze eggs at the same time. I wanted to fill the bowl with candy but I’m watching what I eat so I settled for a tiny bouquet of faux flowers.
I’m enjoying the sunshine streaming into the house. Even the fish are coming to life in the backyard garden pond. That sight really made my heart sing!
Stay tuned for my upcoming spring kitchen and family room tour. For now, head on over to Doreen’s blog, Hymns and Verses. She’s next up on today’s tour and I adore her home and decorating style. Be sure to visit the rest of the bloggers participating in this week’s spring home tour, shown below.

I love the pops of yellow! What touches of joy they add this time of year and look gorgeous in your home. I love all your bunnies too! They are so fun! I love the stone ones and the bronze one is amazing! All your plants and greenery are amazing too! Fun to hop with you!
Thanks so much Kristin! I’m just glad spring has finally sprung – at least for the time being anyway! 🙂
Such a gorgeous tour! I adore the happy daffodils. Such pretty inspiration for spring!
Thanks so much, Laura! I enjoyed your tour today!
Everything looks so pretty! Where did you get those cute wooden mushrooms from? I love them.
Hi Julia,
I got the mushrooms at a local shop called Cocoon. Sometimes they sell them on their online shop: https://www.cocoononline.com/
I don’t see any right now on their website but they currently have them in their store.
Love all of your bunnies, so cute and how fun that your kitty was trying to play with the bunny on the table. My favorite has always been that cow painting and I adore your wicker chairs in this room. Such an inviting space and the touch of yellow is perfect. Thanks so much for joining the tour this season.
Thanks Marty. Your home was beautiful today! I’m anxious to see everyone else’s spring homes this week. 🙂
You have such a beautiful home! I love the feather prints, that’s exactly my style! I’m currently looking for wall art for a gallery wall I’m planing and I think something like this would fit right in! Thanks for sharing your home with us today!
Thanks so much, Jayne! I always keep my eye open for the feather prints because lots of people ask about them. Good luck with your gallery wall. What a fun project!
What a beautiful tour! I love the pops of yellow with the pretty pillows and florals. But, those stone bunnies got me! How did I miss them this spring! I especially love the lounging one on the table! Take my money Pottery Barn!!!
Haha! I know that feeling – “Pottery Barn take my money!” LOL. Your home was beautiful today. I love the changes you’ve made.
You never disappoint, your house looks so much like spring. The flowers and bunnies are really all about spring and so cute and pretty!
Thanks Marlene! I couldn’t resist those bunnies when I saw them.
As always, your beautiful home is full of inspiration! Thanks for sharing it!
Aw, thank you Judy!! 🙂
The pops of yellow are perfect, and I love all of your bunnies. Your home is always so warm and beautiful. How exciting that you are starting to see your fish move. I think Spring has arrived. Beautiful tour, Jennifer. Thank you.
Thanks Miche! I imagine spring has definitely arrived in your neck of the woods. And yes, I was excited to see the fish out of their little cave and swimming about!
Your home is beautifully decorated and the yellow accents are perfect!
Thanks Joanie! I’m glad you enjoyed it!
Everything looks so fresh and pretty Jennifer!
Just poised and for SPRING 🙂
Love that capture of Mignette so much!!
Thanks Shannon! I look forward to seeing your tour!!
Your cat and the rabbit! Too funny. I have always liked yellow, but I am not fond of this current bright yellow we have all been told is one of this year’s colors. However, I love the color of your chenille pillow and the yellow in the cattle still life. Sort of a Palomino seems to suit me best.
Love all your nubby, textured pillows, Jennifer. I want to feel all of them. And Mignette looks darling with your bunny. That’s my favorite photo! Love seeing what’s new in your home. It’s always a treat. Looking forward to seeing your garden soon too. Happy spring. (almost)
What a sweet picture of your cat!
I love yellow and your spring touches are so pretty. Today’s post makes me want to bring out my rabbits and spring things the week. Expecting 60 degree temps here in NJ!
All of your bunnies are so adorable! I love your use with pops of yellow, especially your textured yellow pillow!!
So many gorgeous photos of your beautiful home! I adore the rabbits and cows. 🙂 Thanks for sharing!
love that view down the hall with the mantel on the right! SO pretty! And the touches of yellow are so happy. But my favorite thing- Mignette with the bunny. Classic!
I love everything about your home but am obsessed with the cow picture over the blue/green chest. Can you tell me where you got it.? I’ve been on the hunt for something like that.
I love your pop of yellow. I love many things in this post, such as the cute bunnies. So cute with you cat and bunny just relaxing on the table. There is so many things I love Thank you for sharing
Thank you, Ivory! I’m so glad you enjoyed it!
Ohmygoodness, that picture of Mignette and the bunny is priceless! So cute! 😀 I love all the pops of yellow, the texture and those fantastic treasures you’ve sprinkled all around your home. Beautiful!!
Thanks so much Cristina! Every once in a while my kitties cooperate for a photo!
I really enjoyed your tour, Jennifer! Love all of your plants and bunnies, especially the one on your mantle. The yellow touches that you’ve added are perfect. After so many years of shying away from yellow, I think it’s making a comeback. I’ve been playing with yellow for an Easter tablescape and plan to use it on my front porch. That picture of your kitty on the table with the bunny is too funny!
Thanks Suzy! I’m normally not a yellow person (except for the outside of my house) but I saw the golden yellow pillows in the store … and you know how that story ends. LOL.
Loving all the subtle touches of yellow! And your kitten-bunny vignette may just be my favorite! Lol! Your home looks lovely and ready for Spring!
🙂 Linda
Thanks, Linda! I’ll be heading over to your tour soon. Always love seeing your home.
Love all the pops of yellow! And your cat totally cracked me up! Happy Spring!
Thanks Laura! I was happy to capture that photo of Mignette. It was almost like she was posing for me. Enjoy your weekend!

Adorable cat with the bunny! I have a cat who looks just like her.
Your house looks beautiful. I love your wicker chairs too, esp. with the lavender pillow.
I like it all. But the cat and rabbit striking the same pose, such fun
