Several weeks ago I contacted the owner of this week’s charming home tour. Becky blogs at This Is Happiness and she has a truly beautiful home … which she and her husband recently sold! As you tour her bright and cheery home, you’ll see why it sold. As you wander from room to room, her lovely home makes you smile.
Step inside the front door of Becky’s home and you’re greeted by a stylish and welcoming entryway. I love the family photo she tucked above the upholstered bench.
A white stone fireplace creates an appealing focal point in the living room, where soft colors create a soothing and serene place to read and relax.
A handmade farmhouse style table graces the dining room. I like how Becky paired the rustic dining table with elegantly upholstered chairs. A mix of styles can be so appealing!
I’m in love with Becky’s kitchen! I love the white cabinets and the sunny yellow accents.
The spacious kitchen island doubles as a breakfast bar with cross back stools.
Becky employs a pretty white table as the desk in her office. Soft colors allow geometric patterns to pop, like the chevron rug underfoot and small basket on the bookshelf.
Plantation shuttered windows provide a beautiful backdrop to Becky’s bed in the master bedroom. Luxurious white linens add a fresh touch and make you want to crawl right in, which is exactly how a well-made bed should make you feel!
Her daughter’s room is quaintly sophisticated. Yellow linens pair with soft touches of pink, perfect for a young girl. I’ve always loved pink and yellow together.
Becky’s son’s room uses fun graphics with soft colors. I’m lovin’ the tiger pillow and the touches of red.
Outside, a cozy patio invites you to enjoy a little fresh air! The new homeowners are lucky to enjoy Becky’s house. Be sure to visit her at This is Happiness to follow her journey to her next home!
In a nod to Christmas, I’m featuring rooms that are decorated with dark green. Dark green is a color that most people don’t typically apply to their walls, but I think you’ll see how warm and inviting the color can be. And if you’re a trend follower, you’ll be happy to know that green is…

The home is lovely! Thank you for sharing it!
Thanks for introducing me to Becky. Now I am anxious to see whether they opt to build or take on a fixer upper.

Amazon, Nordstrom and other stores also carry their products. Hope that helps!
