Step Inside a Luxury Modern Country Home with Stunning Views
Who doesn’t want a home with stunning views? Today’s luxury modern country home has views and so much more. Expansive windows are included in every room in order to take advantage of the beauty outside. Lucky is the person who gets to call this custom house “home.”
A beautiful, natural stone fireplace provides warmth and texture in the vaulted living room. Look outside and you’ll see a similar and equally attractive fireplace on the patio with a vanishing edge pool. This luxury, modern country home seems to have it all.
You’ll find the same stone work on the wall opposite the fireplace. An arched window draws the eye upward to the metal chandelier and beamed ceiling.
Large windows and beamed ceilings continue into the kitchen where you can prepare a meal while enjoying views of evergreen trees and mountains in the distance. An outdoor kitchen awaits on the patio, for grilling summer meals.
Wood cabinets lend warmth to the cool, marble counter tops in the custom kitchen. Wide-planked wood floors add a touch of richness to the space.
Industrial style shelving is layered over a kitchen window. The shelves are carefully arranged so as not to obstruct the breathtaking views while cooking and cleaning up after meals.
The master bedroom enjoys a skylight with a unique wood lattice treatment, with a rustic chandelier uniquely suspended in the middle. An abundance of pretty pillows gather on the four-poster bed, adding to it’s plush vibe.
Like the rest of the rooms in this luxury, modern country home, the bedroom takes advantage of the expansive views with large windows. A sliding glass door provides easy access to the outdoors. I’d probably leave that door open all night to listen to the sounds of Mother Nature while falling asleep.
Another bedroom enjoys its own share of pillows and blankets for a comfortable night’s sleep.
And guess what? It also enjoys a cozy fireplace for winter evenings or whenever you want a little ambiance!

Hi, Jennifer,
I really enjoy all your daily posts- such a variety of design ideas.
Honestly, I am looking for ideas for a retired single person on a very limited budget-
And NOT so called grandma decor, lol. Just about making the best of what I have. For example, I have a deep quarter acre lot in a small city, and my house is around 1525 square feet, no garage, I am in central, upstate NY, a colder climate, four seasons, although climate change is definitely here. Looking for affordable ideas and inspiration. I notice lots of suggestions for keeping windows un-covered or just with sheers. But I have found I need block out curtains to keep the cold out in the winter and the sun out in the summer. It has become overwhelmingly hot in the summer here and I have old fashioned hot water radiator heat, so no options for AC, other than window units. Garden wise, I am trying to create a haven for birds and frogs/toads, on a budget. Any ideas you can share, thank you so much.
