Two Wonderful Home Tours + More: Friday Finds

Hooray for Labor Day weekend! Do you have any special plans or are you relaxing at home? Hubby and I decided to take a very impromptu getaway to Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. Since it was a last minute decision, it was difficult finding an Airbnb rental but I finally found one. I’ll take photos to share on the blog. I’ve posted about Lake Geneva before but this time we’re staying in Fontana which is on the west end of the lake (we usually visit the east end).

Today’s Friday Finds feature a pretty amazing lineup, if I do say so myself. Get ready to enjoy a couple of home tours and some other inspirational things!

First up, you don’t want to miss this gorgeous, gorgeous gentleman’s home by Melanie Davis Design. It might have been designed for a gentleman, but I would live there in a heartbeat! There isn’t one thing that I don’t like about it!

Are you a fan of the updated traditional look? According to My Domaine, it’s not going anywhere soon, which makes me happy. I love traditional style homes and decor. It really never goes out of style.

You’re not going to believe me when I tell you that this dining room resides in a brand new builder-grade home. It looks like it belongs in a much older house. It’s amazing what a little creativity and ingenuity can do!

I don’t know about you, but I’m a huge fan of vintage art! If you need help styling vintage art finds, see what Scout and Nimble has to say about it.

And finally, I’ll end with a tour of a home decor editor’s beautiful abode, located in of all places – the Cotswolds!

  1. I’ve always loved traditional American and English styles, so all of these homes really appealed to me. I especially liked the one by Melanie Davis–she’s a very talented designer, and working on a home designed by Historical Concepts must have been a dream come true!
    Love your blog!!

  2. Thanks for featuring the designer Melanie Davis. I actually own a copy of Coming Home but didn’t realize or pay attention to the designers who worked on the homes featured in the book. It’s a great book, by the way.
