Unique Bathroom Sink Ideas: How to Quickly Update Your Bath
Do you ever look at your bathroom and wish you could give it a refresh without doing an entire renovation? Consider swapping out your bathroom sink to something unique and fun. Today’s inspiration features a range of fun styles that can instantly turn a boring bath into something special.
The classic pedestal sink is timeless and charming, adding instant character to a large bathroom or powder room. Use this style if you don’t need a lot of counter space. Combine it with a vintage mirror and a pretty sconce.
If you crave vintage style, consider a wall-mounted metal sink. You can find these at flea markets, second-hand architectural shops, or even online. It adds unique appeal to this small black and white bathroom.

When we first moved into our current house, we had a sink similar to this style in the downstairs bathroom. I replaced it with a cabinet style sink because our old house was in dire need of storage space. I love the shaving mirror added to this pretty bathroom vignette.ย
If you’re ever so lucky to find a round cabinet like this one, consider turning it into a whimsical vanity. Almost any vintage cabinet in good condition can be transformed into a unique bathroom sink.ย

How about a wall-mounted double sink to create interest in your bathroom? This one features a rustic wood shelf above it to hold everyday toiletries or a small vase of flowers. It makes a farmhouse statement paired with the shiplap wrapping the walls.ย
Pretty pink penny tile sets the stage for a unique black and white bathroom sink with a shelf underneath. Why have a boring builder-grade sink when you can enjoy something special that shows your personality and style?
Here’s an option for turning a chest of drawers into a sink vanity. Rather than drop a porcelain sink into the top of the chest, simply mount it after cutting a hole for the plumbing. This is a great option for adding height to shorter dresser. You’ll probably be able to use the bottom two drawers for storing towels, toilet paper, or even hair care accessories.ย

For the antique lovers out there – if you come across an old fashioned sink like this, you’ll definitely want to pack it in the back of your car and take it home. Paired with antique mirrors and sconces, the bathroom takes you back to another era. The mismatched stools are a fun touch.ย
Similar to the sink shown in the third photo above, this bathroom embraces retro charm in soft pinks and white. When swapping out your existing sink, note where the plumbing needs to go into the wall. A plumber can easily swap out one sink for another and you might be surprised that the cost isn’t as expensive as you thought.ย

You might recognize this pretty bathroom vanity. I featured it several years ago on a home tour by Alison Kandler. I love the color of the blue rattan, which probably served as some type of dresser in a former life. A sink and faucet were plumbed into it and a quartz counter top was added. A pretty floral skirt completes the look for a truly memorable bathroom.ย

I love these ideas because I have a small bathroom, I really like the skirted sink I wonder how easy that would be to do. Hmmm
I love that last one and haven’t ever thought of using rattan for a cabinet. Loved these ideas and something to think about.
The skirted cabinet is adorable!
