White and Wood Kitchen of the Week

kitchen ideas July 23, 2020

Welcome to week two of my new Kitchen of the Week series! I may have set the bar pretty high with the first kitchen I shared and now I’m under pressure to impress you all once again. LOL. This week I’m sharing a lovely white and wood kitchen that I’m pretty sure you’re going to love!

I’ve heard some of you comment that you’re getting tired of all-white kitchens, but this one does an awesome job of incorporating wood finishes that provide warmth and a sense of coziness. From the wood beams on the ceilings to the wood counter tops and floors – and even a large armoire that provides additional storage.

A length of white cabinets are interrupted by a beautiful copper hood vent above the stove (how I would love to have this in my own kitchen). Although the subway tile is white, its pattern adds a bit of texture in the room. A nubby rug runner adds another element of texture to the white and wood kitchen.

White rattan chairs in the dining area create a bit of Caribbean appeal. This kitchen has plenty of cooking space with a double oven and refrigerator concealed by cabinet doors at left.

The addition of three black pendant lights above the island give a farmhouse vibe. But honestly, I think what I love most is the white rattan chairs against the wood floor.

Thanks for the white and wood kitchen – you’re right, the wood does add warmth. I never get tired of looking at kitchens!

Not being a fan of all white rooms, I find this kitchen very warm and welcoming. I think the wood warms the all white look and gives the kitchen some depth. I love color, but in it’s absence, I think the wood tones gives that added dimension that color normally would. Thanks for sharing.

I like this kitchen. It has great elements of surprise like the copper stove hood and the white rattan chairs. It’s unique and thoughtfully done. I, personally, would have had a unique back splash with a bit of color but I have a feeling that this is one of those spaces that pictures don’t do justice.
Hey, I might be the only one but I love kitchens with brick in them; either on the walls or on the floors. What “cha think about that? 🙂

Oh I love the copper hood and the armoire. Then mix in the wood floors and white cabinets. Wow! What’s not to love!

I also like how the windows on the back wall are peeking at you above the cabinets such a nice detail. Thanks for letting us view this wonderful kitchen.

I like the idea of hiding the fronts of appliances with the wood cabinet doors. I wonder why then leave the microwave out? hmmm My husband thought I was crazy for wanting our microwave in our pantry but now he loves it. Those tiny windows above the cabinets bring in much needed light I bet…too cute! I would put in a hardwood counter top any day! To me that says warmth for sure. I wish we could put wood beams in our kitchen that we have now but our ceilings there are only 8′. We had bead board on our last kitchen ceiling painted white and I miss it. Another pretty kitchen! Love it!!

The kitchen is beautiful to look upon. The copper vent hood is perfect. I don’t believe it’s a ‘work with ease’ space. Those chairs can be replaced.

I will never tire of white kitchens. The warm wood is beautiful and warms up the room. The white backsplash is timeless. I tire very quickly of statement backsplashes. . Thanks for sharing this beautiful kitchen.
