21 Rosemary Lane: Charming Home Tour

Charming Home Series, home tour October 16, 2016

Today’s charming home tour features a fellow blogger! I love her traditional style and use of color throughout each room. Barbara grew up in a little town outside of Philadelphia and moved to New Jersey as an adult. She loves decorating and her friends like to call her “Martha.” It’s easy to see why when you take a tour of her beautiful home.

When you step onto Barbara’s front porch dressed for fall, you’re immediately welcomed by the style that hints at what’s to come beyond her front door.

Fall Front Porch

Color and style greet you in the entryway. Barbara shares the evolution of her foyer on her blog. It’s fun to see how she’s changed it over the years. And of course, every transformation is beautiful.

Entryway Decorated for Fall

Next to the entryway is Barbara’s living room, decorated for fall. Plaid pillows on the couch pair with fun, shaggy pillows. A gallery wall in the background features photos of the children. Matching frames create a cohesive look.

Fall Colors in the Living Room

Barbara customized the kitchen island which creates additional interest in the room. I love the pairing of the white island with the natural wood cabinets. Dark counter tops add an element of drama.

Traditional Style Kitchen

A cozy dining nook with touches of yellow carves out a space for morning coffee or intimate meals.

French Country Style Breakfast Nook

Barbara turned her dining room from red to blue and the result is beautiful. As I look at these photos, I feel like I’m flipping through the pages of Better Homes and Garden. Barbara really has a great sense of style … and especially an eye for placement of wall decor, like the charming collection of plates.

Traditional Style Dining Room

Cool blue washes through the serene downstairs bathroom. Note how the color of the sink bowls match the tile on the wall and shower.

Guest Bathroom in Blue

It was love at first sight when I first laid eyes on Barbara’s garden-inspired master bedroom. The color combination is so pretty and I’m absolutely smitten with her stenciled ceiling!  What a creative and unique touch.

Traditional Style Master Bedroom with Stenciled Ceiling

A pair of twin beds mirror each other in the guest bedroom. A pretty mirror with a filigree treatment takes center stage between the two.

Guest Bedroom in Blue

Finally, a back porch creates a cozy area for relaxing or entertaining. White wicker furniture gives it a fresh cottage feel while the vaulted, beamed ceiling lends an air of spaciousness. I would love to sit out here for hours with a good book, wouldn’t you?
