A Burst of Beautiful ~ Charming Home Tour

Tonight snow is softly falling outside and I’m curled up on the couch with a soft blanket looking at Alicia’s gorgeous home from A Burst of Beautiful. The soft whites and grays in her home remind me of the new fallen snow outside. Slight hints of blue stream through the snow drifts when the light hits just right, reminiscent of the bits of blue in Alicia’s home. I know I sound like a broken record when I say, “You’re gonna love her house!”

One of the first rooms you see when you walk in the front door of Alicia’s charming home is the living room. Comfy gray couches pair with an industrial style coffee table while expansive windows let in plenty of light.

 

An expansive set of bookcases on the wall showcase family photos and cherished items. Alicia has a good editing eye and I like that her bookcase shelves aren’t packed too full.

 

Just beyond the living room is Alicia’s traditional style dining room with a classic wood table and upholstered dining chairs. A pretty drum light takes center stage above the table. Another expansive window lets the sun flow freely.

 

I adore Alicia’s light and bright kitchen. She gave her kitchen a makeover, painting the cabinets and adding curtains. The schoolhouse lights above the kitchen island/breakfast bar provide a bit of charm.

 

A dark counter top adds a bit of drama and interest to the room, while the cabinet hardware echoes the hue.

 

Alicia created an elegant powder room with her use of a soft geometric wall paper and half wall molding. A set of pretty botanic prints finishes off the charming space.

 

Gallery walls can be difficult to pull off, and even more challenging when marching up a staircase, but Alicia’s talented eye got her gallery wall just right. A consistent them of black frames with white matting helps to coordinate the wall of photos.

 

More architectural trim graces one wall of Alicia’s master bedroom. A fireplace adds cozy warmth on cold nights.

 

Soft neutrals continue into the baby’s room with whimsical animal prints above the crib. I love the little rustic ladder that provides a great place to hang baby blankets.
