A Collection of Beautiful Blue Serene Living Rooms That Wow

Slowly but surely, I’m making some significant decorating changes in my home. I hope to reveal them all before Christmas, along with the story of what started it all. The main change is my color palette which is a swap of neutrals for more color. And speaking of color, today I’m sharing a collection of beautiful blue serene living rooms that will make you feel cozy and lighthearted, all at once. See which rooms speak to your heart!

If you prefer transitional style, you’ll enjoy this crisp blue and white living room with a mix of patterned pillows on solid-color furniture. I’m a fan of anything tufted and studded, so the ottoman caught my eye. And then there’s a beautiful view out the large window to enjoy.

Anyone a fan of a more contemporary style? This pink and blue living room is sweet and serene. I think I’ll always be a fan of pink and blue – maybe because they remind me of babies.

Next up is a charming English country living room in a Cotswold cottage. The sofa looks like you can sink right into it and calls you to become a couch potato. A little built-in cabinet painted a shade of green-blue paint is similar to the color of the sofa and complements the tan and beige of the stone wall.

A peach, vaulted ceiling pairs beautifully with the dreamy blue on the walls of this transitional living room. Cream-colored furniture and a unique, round coffee table complete the look of this stunning room.

Pale blue creates an ethereal cottage style living room. Framed cottage prints enhance the quaint decorating scheme. Cottagecore is another look that’s trending today.

If you’re a little shy when it comes to mixing patterns, try doing it in shades of the same color. Here, a collection of various shades of blue are seen in patterns that peacefully complement each other.

I love the powder blue upholstered ottoman in this country style living room. And I’ve always loved brown with blue, which you get a hint of via the picture frames. You can make an ottoman serve as a coffee table by creating a flat surface with a tray.

Although it’s not my personal style, I do love this modern living room with its funky light fixture. The sectional is really cool and luxurious. Reminds me of a room you’d see in the series, Mad Men (love that show!).

Here’s another cushy sofa in today’s collection of serene living rooms. Floral pillows pick up on the red in the rug, while the wood coffee table lends warmth and richness. Landscape paintings like the one on the stone wall have been trending lately.

This blue and white living room proves that furniture doesn’t have to match in a more traditional style space. Blue piping outlines the sofa on the right while similar pillows adorn both couches. Floor-to-ceiling drapery adds drama at the already stunning windows.

  1. I love rooms done in blue. Liked all of these except the modern ones. Not a fan of modern. My favs in this grouping are the first and third.

  2. I loved the one with the stone wall, such a plush and cozy sofa. My furniture is neutral but, I decorate with lots of blues, I love blue.

  3. I wished I had some for small apartments to show my likes, not everyone has a mansion. Had I had a mansion the last one would be may consideration. Disappointed.

  4. Love the third photo, so casual and welcoming – somehow the soft toned colors hit just the right feel. Ditto with the photo with beige tan brick fireplace and sift blue couch. It’s odd but the photo with similar color palette but blue walls and beachy circular table looks cold and uncomfortable – why would that be? Color choices art a real art!
