A Stunning Green and White Kitchen Design in New Zealand
Today we’re crossing the pond to New Zealand to enjoy a fresh, green and white kitchen design that’s clean, simple, and beautiful. Light wood floors set the stage for white cabinetry and wood trim throughout the room. Notice a peek of cheerful wallpaper to the left of the refrigerator.
Here’s a view from the kitchen’s dining area. A large glass door leads to the outdoor patio, adding convenience to hosting meals outside. Aren’t the pendant lights above the peninsula adorable?
Most of the kitchen’s color comes from the deep green tile back splash set in a herringbone pattern.
The color of the tile back splash reminds me of the color of my kitchen floor. This shade of green reminded me of the 1980s when I first saw it in my home. I planned to replace the tile but now am glad I kept it since it’s back in style.
When there’s not enough space on the wall to add another set of cabinets, floating wood shelves create opportunity to store a few more items or display collectibles.
The apron sink enjoys a gooseneck faucet in a rose gold finish that matches the rest of the kitchen hardware.
I love the many windows in this green and white kitchen that allow an abundance of natural light to flow in. I’m not a fan of electric lighting and prefer to let nature light up the rooms, whenever possible. My husband, on the other hand, loves to turn the lights on.
I hope you enjoyed today’s kitchen tour from New Zealand. It’s fresh and clean with a simple yet beautiful approach to design. Talking about kitchens reminds me that I still need to finish painting my cabinets. It was a decision I made on a whim and I hope I don’t regret it in a few months.
Cavernous and cold….sorry
