Discover a Fascinating English Kitchen with Four Ovens!
I always thought it’d be great to have a kitchen with two ovens. Especially during the holidays when you’re feeding a crowd and need the extra cooking space. But four ovens? And two pantries? That’s what you’ll find in this fascinating English kitchen by deVOL kitchens.
Warm wood floors create the foundation for this bespoke kitchen with cabinets painted in Bakehouse Green (a deVOL paint color) and topped with Silestone counters. I find the green color to be rich and sophisticated.
Stylish pulley style pendant lights above the island illuminate the kitchen with its intricate crown molding. Brushed gold hardware lends an air of sophistication. A few still life paintings add art to the walls.
The large island features a double Berkshire sink with a gooseneck faucet. In the background you’ll notice the functioning fireplace which is original to the English kitchen.
The island also contains a wine fridge and dishwashers, all hidden behind beautifully made cabinet doors. Note the intricate doorway trim leading to the adjacent room. To the right, you’ll see the four ovens above a set of drawers.
In the corner of the English kitchen is the customary curiosity cabinet filled with wine glasses and favorite cookbooks. I couldn’t help but notice the large leeks on the island. Leeks are my favorite onions. They have a very mild and slightly sweet flavor – perfect for caramelizing. I swap them out for harsher onions in recipes.
Here’s a better view of the four ovens. I wonder how often all four are used at the same time. Although, if you’re baking a batch of cookies, you can get them all baked sooner by employing all ovens at once.
