Blue and White Summer House in New York State
Today we’re headed to the Finger Lakes area of New York to visit a beautiful blue and white summer house by Teaselwood Design that comes with a charming she shed and outdoor dining area beneath a pergola. If you’re a fan of blue, you’re going to love this home tour.
The sunny living room has a pale blue vaulted ceiling, as seen above, with rich hardwood floors. A skirted ottoman centers the room with patterned upholstered furniture and bright green pillows for a small punch of color.
Below, a small desk with striped chair is flanked by a tall healthy plant that gets plenty of daylight in this room wrapped in windows.
The wide planked floors continue throughout the house providing a perfect complement to the white walls. A pulley pendant light hangs above the dining table. Coffered ceilings lend an architectural element.
The kitchen’s breakfast bar is set with waffles and orange juice – a perfect way to start the day at the summer house before heading out to the lake.
The blue and white color scheme is seen in the family room, as well. Leaded glass windows adorn the tops of the built-in cabinets that set off the fireplace with a sailboat on its mantel.
Outside you’ll find the quaint shed and pergola area for outdoor dining. The Finger Lakes area is known as an outdoor lover’s paradise. If you ever decide to visit, you’ll want to take advantage of all the lakes have to offer, including a visit to the many wineries in the area.
The New York summer house enjoys a pretty outdoor dining area under the pergola. The hanging star fixtures are similar to the light inside the home’s living room.
The little she shed is a true charmer. I can imagine little girls playing house here all day long.
Inside, daybeds flank the walls so you can enjoy napping or even sleeping out here at night.
A Victorian style plant stand holds a trio of flower pots on the shed’s front porch.

Did you really say ” little girls playing house all day long?” Are you stuck in the year 1950?
Love the denim blue couch. What company is it from? Thank you
Blue and white – my favorite color palette. I even wear it. Loved this post!
I love the playhouse so much. I had one as a little girl and to this day I think about it and how much I enjoyed it. Some things you never forget and for me that is it, down to the curtains my grandmother made to hang in it. Thank you.
I love the blue & White House the Finger Lakes!!!!
