Traditional LEED Gold Home Tour
Happy New Year! We’re starting 2017 off with a tour of a gorgeous traditional LEED Gold home. Not only is the interior beautiful, but this house is LEED-certified at the Gold level. LEED stands for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design. In order to be certified, a house or building needs to follow a variety of green practices. Today’s home was designed by Tim Barber Ltd. Architecture. (All photos found at Houzz and credited to Tim Barber Ltd. Click on photos to be taken to original.)
A stunning vaulted ceiling adorns the family room with its clean lines and soft colors.

In the dining room, white wood creates a geometric pattern on the ceiling. Pale blue wallpaper creates a soft yet elegant look. Transom windows allow plenty of light to shine through and a nubby rug provides texture underfoot.
The dining room also features a gorgeous built-in China cabinet.
The living room boasts a coastal look in red, white, and blue.
A fireplace cozies up a corner while a pastoral oil painting lends a bit of farmhouse appeal.
In the kitchen, appealing design in this LEED Gold home isn’t spared. Custom cabinetry creates a rich yet down-home look.
A farmhouse sink adds charm all its own.
A built-in bench creates a spot for putting on shoes while peg hooks creates space for hanging towels and other essentials for the pool outdoors.
A beautiful staircase is graced with board and batten siding.
In the master bedroom, the vaulted family room ceiling is replicated to a lesser angle.
The star of the master bathroom is a deep claw foot tub settled under a trio of windows. Roman shades can be pulled to create privacy.
I hope you enjoyed today’s tour of a traditional LEED Gold home. Even the exterior is pretty! You can see more of this beautiful home over at Houzz.

lovely and inviting home.
Thank you for this tour it was a break from sports,Ugg! Happy New Year.
Thanks for sharing this lovely home. It felt it a bit cold to me with all the shiplap and board&batten seemingly in every room. I do happen to love the wood ceilings, though. One day all buildings will be green and not a minute too soon for my grandchildren and those who come after. Hope your new year is wonderful.
Just beautiful! A great use of space. Thanks for the pictures,
