Charming Home Tour ~ Skies of Parchment
I’m not really sure how I discovered Clarita’s blog but I’m sure glad I found it! I love everything about her cottage style home that she and her hubby have painstakingly and lovingly restored. When you visit her at Skies of Parchment you’ll get to see before, during, and after photos of her home renovation. She’s such an inspiration, as you’re about to see …
Clarita’s living room is bright and cheerful with a beautiful brick fireplace. Her home has a total of 5 fireplaces! Can you imagine all the fun you’d have decorating the mantels?
Clarita’s kitchen has warm wood floors and countertops, that pair beautifully with her painted kitchen cabinets. To create a cottage feel, she removed the doors on the upper cabinets.
A beautiful chandelier brightens the room and to the right you can see the edge of one of her many fireplaces. I would love a home with that many fireplaces!
Clarita’s beautiful wood floors extend throughout her home. Here you can see the back to back fireplaces, one in the dining room and the other facing the kitchen. The rough hewn beams lend a rustic touch.
A close-up view of the dining room shows more of the details like the chandelier and fireplace.
Lucky Clarita has a charming music room … complete with a fireplace!
I love her galvanized tub and vintage books tucked nearby.
Doesn’t her master bedroom look so inviting and peaceful?
Such a clever idea to drape fabric using suspended rods.
The children’s bedroom is equally as charming as the rest of the home.
Bright colors liven the room and are perfect for kids.
And of course, the kids’ room has a fireplace! Clarita decorated the mantel in a Beatrix Potter theme, one of my favorite children’s authors.
Clarita’s renovated home even has a new staircase.
She and her husband are so talented and diligent in remodeling their charming home.
The newly renovated attic area contains a beautiful shabby chic style bed.
Tissue paper balls add fun and whimsy to Clarita’s cute bathroom.
A deep porch provides ample space for lounging and entertaining.
The red bench is a fun pop of color!
I love a house with a tin roof like this one. My Victorian farm house has a metal roof and it’s tough as nails. Clarita has added dormer windows during her attic renovation and I’m anxious to see the full reveal. To see more of her charming home, visit Clarita at Skies of Parchment. You won’t be disappointed!
