Charming Home Tour ~ White Lace Cottage

Charming Home Series, home tour February 15, 2015

One of the first bloggers I ever met was Anne at White Lace Cottage. She lives just north of me and used to sell vintage items at an antique store with several vendors. So one winter’s day hubby and I made the trek up there and lucky for me, Anne happened to be there! Her shabby chic style is romantic yet practical and I think you’ll find her charming home very pretty and feminine.

Shabby Chic Family RoomAnne’s family room is comfortable and stylish. Pretty angel wings embrace a gorgeous shabby chic mirror. A painted blanket chest serves double duty as a coffee table with a beautiful display of roses. You’ll find lots of roses at Anne’s place!

Shabby Chic Living Room at White Lace CottageSoft neutrals populate Anne’s living room. Plenty of sunlight fills the room and pretty pillows add interest to the slipcovered couch. Anne adorned her mannequin with feminine angel wings.

Shabby Chic Kitchen in White and NeutralsAlthough all of Anne’s home is inviting and pretty, I think her white kitchen is my favorite room. Chandeliers add a bit of glam while a ladder stretching across the cabinets above the sink adds a touch rusticity.

Eat In Kitchen at White Lace CottageI love Anne’s dining nook next to her kitchen. Soft floral curtains soften the windows and a beautiful painted hutch shows off favorite china and serving pieces. What a great place to enjoy a morning cup of coffee!

Shabby Chic Style Craft StudioLucky Anne has a beautiful craft studio filled with pretty things.

Did you see the collection of white pitchers holding craft supplies?

Laundry room with vintage lockersEven Anne’s laundry room is filled with eye candy, like the vintage lockers and French baskets.

A vintage scale and more white ironstone pitchers grace the top of the lockers.

French style master bedroomYou’ll find French inspiration in Anne’s master bedroom.

The four poster painted bed is beautifully distressed and I love the soft draping of the bedspread.

Master Bedroom in Neutral DecorAnne framed out the mirror in her master bathroom and added a bamboo script mat on the floor.

Shabby chic bedroomA beautiful bed with a cute kitty takes up residence in another bedroom.

Anne has done a great job blending soft colors and feminine touches throughout her home.

Be sure to visit her charming home at White Lace Cottage!

Beautiful! The stained wood furniture (laundry room) and family room furniture add pops of interest to those areas. I have a lot of stained wood furniture (antiques) and now am trying to add whites and creams to softened them and lighten my rooms.

I love white painted furniture. I have brown leather furniture in my family and want so bad to find light beige slip covers for them but I don’t think slip covers will work on leather. Has anyone tried this?? I would then paint the old blanket chest in front of the couch white and distress it.
