Charming Suburban Home ~ Golden Boys and Me
Today’s charming suburban home is the perfect example of how to marry comfort and beauty for today’s busy lifestyle. Courtney at Golden Boys and Me proves her resourcefulness as she leads you through DIY projects in her home … some of which are truly genius. I love her sense of style and use of color. She’s created a warm and welcoming haven in which to relax and enjoy!

A large sailboat flanks the front of the stone fireplace while the American flag flies overhead.

Beautiful wood floors lend warmth and richness to the space.

She adds a whimsical touch with a numbered stairway.

Creamy cabinets and a farmhouse sink pair with granite countertops.
A pair of topiaries add interest by the kitchen windows.

Where there once was a wall, she opened the space and added a kitchen island created with Ikea’s Billy bookcases. I would’ve never thought to do this but love the idea. What a great way to add more storage space in the kitchen.

Fancy corbels support an extended countertop for dining.

Did you see all the wooden logs tucked within the fireplace mantel? Love it!!

A pretty chandelier adds yet another pretty detail.

Courtney’s bathroom has all the modern amenities, with a touch of vintage in the soaking tub.

You don’t need to go on a vacation when you can enjoy a charming suburban home like Courtney’s!

She has a pair of beautiful Golden Retrievers. Isn’t he adorable?

Just lovely! I love her bathroom and master bedroom. Her kitchen is just wonderful with that huge window over the sink. Speaking of the sink ~ I want one! : )
Lovely home and grounds. Love the IKEA island storage. Ready to tear down a wall just to have it!
