Create a Cozy Reading Nook

This post is sponsored by Cost Plus World Market. All opinions are my own.

You might remember that I’ve been searching for a comfy chair to place in front of my newly-found vintage mantel. It took me awhile but I finally found a darling chair to create a cozy reading nook in my living room!

I shopped Cost Plus World Market’s Super Natural Collection and found my new chair along with a few accessories to complete the look. You can enter the Small Space Sweepstakes from World Market for your chance to win $5000 to find what you need to decorate your home (details at end of post).

Cozy Reading Corner with Pink Chair and Gold Metal Table

The Rose Pink Tyley Chair is the star of my new cozy reading nook! I was immediately smitten with its cute little shape and color. Initially I thought I should choose a taller chair, but small space furniture proved to be the right choice. A taller chair would’ve swallowed up the space.

The chair has a deep seat which makes it super comfortable. The addition of a coral red and gray geometric throw keeps me warm on cooler nights, and a light gray velvet lumbar pillow adds just the right amount of back support.

A cozy reading nook needs a cute little table, too. I discovered the adorable Rose Gold Tomlin Accent Table. It’s just the right height for my new chair. A New Zealand Sheepskin Rug provides just the right softness underfoot while reading.

Of course, when you’re reading you need a cup of coffee nearby to enjoy. The Charcoal Element Mug from World Market has a beautiful hue and cute shape. I paired it with the Gray Diamond Floral Napkin.

I spied the tiny Charcoal Element Tasting Bowl and had to add it to my cart. Initially I was going to fill it with M&Ms, but since I’m training for a half marathon, I decided to fill it with a cute little white gourd.

I needed a little pink on the mantel to echo the color of my pink chair. I loved the Ceramic Reagan Tealight Candleholder in pink and white. It has a similar coloring to my pink and white ombre vase. I also picked up the Reactive Glass Stone Dipped Vases in tan and white. I love their two-tone finish and interesting shape. My schefflera fit perfectly in the larger planter.

I kept two of my newly found vintage aqua bottles to pair with my new World Market finds.

I’ve been attracted to two-tone pottery pieces lately. My faux olive plants fit perfectly inside the Ceramic Potter Planter.

I’m loving my new, cozy reading nook and plan to enjoy many novels sitting right here in my cute little pink chair!

  1. I love your reading nook! I love your chair choice, but I would have to add an ottoman so that I could properly cuddle up to read. ???? My youngest daughter just moved back to our town to teach English at the high school. The first thing she did to her new classroom was make a reading nook for students. Right now it’s just a tall metal bookcase filled with books and a chair from her college days. Guess maybe I should enter the sweepstakes so she can spruce up her little reading nook.
