See Stunning Coastal Style Living in Blue and Pink

How about a fresh breeze of spring into this month’s wintry weather? Let’s tour a light and bright coastal style home that’s decorated with fresh accents of blue and pink to lift your spirits. I think you’ll enjoy the fun pops of color throughout this beautiful Dallas home by BRNS Design.

I’m lovin’ the blue wallpaper in the dining room above – and the rattan chair caught by eye too. Normally I’m not a fan of modern art in the home, but I like the abstract painting in the entryway. It reminds me of the ocean with a pink coral reef.

The curved staircase is a bit grand and features custom molding on the wall with a few baskets to add some texture.

Another piece of abstract art in blue and pink adorns the mantel on the floor-to-ceiling stone fireplace. Pink patterned pillows add a fun touch to this light and airy living room with its large modern light fixture.

The coastal style home enjoys an open concept floor plan. The whole family can be together in this space and of course, I love the windows and all the natural light.

A blue kitchen island takes center stage with pretty bar stools. You just know this is where everyone gathers during holidays.

A bit more color is added with a patterned rug. I like that people can congregate on one side of the island while leaving the chef a clear path between the sink and stove for cooking. When people gather in my kitchen, they always feel like they’re underfoot. LOL.

A gorgeous round, wooden pedestal table serves up breakfast and informal meals in the dining nook off the kitchen. Woven chairs lend texture.

The powder room features a wallpaper with a pattern that mimics ocean waves. The large pattern works in this small room since it’s relegated to just one wall.

  1. Imagine this place with even a hint of wall color. THAT would be something!
Not my favorite as is. Just sayin’.

  2. Did you post a tour of home in St. Simons, Ga at the end of December 2023? I loved the layout and the decorating was beautiful. Where can I find it, if you did?

  3. Love the freshness of this bright home. I am currently redoing my bedroom and adding a lot of pink to it’s current blue and cream. I’m loving the pink and the happiness it’s bringing in to my sanctuary. My two large windows now have pink drapes with cream sheers in the middle and it makes me swoon looking at them. Today I will be adding the new pink fringe to cover my bedside lampshade. Layers of luscious pink! It’s my new cocoon to escape to!
