Country Gardens and Vintage Treasures for You: Friday Finds
This weekend our town has its big festival of the year that kicks off with a one-hour long parade early Friday evening. The mandatory carnival rides, tractor pull, and mud volleyball are all part of the festivities. The first year I lived in town, a friends somehow managed to persuade Ronald McDonald to perform magic tricks in my house for all our kids after the parade. I wasn’t even aware this had been done until I turned around and saw Ronald McDonald in my living room! Crazy. In addition to our festival kicking off, it’s also time for Friday Finds. I’ve got a mix of a renovation, wine cork crafts, a home tour, and more for you to enjoy! (This post contains affiliate links – see my privacy policy.)
Do you love pattern in the home? This Nantucket charmer displays pattern and color in a pleasing mix. I especially like the bathroom and the painted dining room floor.
Do you have a bathroom designed in the 1950s or 60s? See how one couple updated their mid-century bathroom with green fixtures into a place of updated beauty (they kept the green fixtures intact).
Gardening season might be winding down in the next month or two, but here’s a collection of 30 country gardens to consider for next year.
A vintage kitchen gets a new lease on life with this redo by Steph Pollock. Enjoy the before and after images. Now I need to get a rooster bell just like Steph’s!
I’ve been on the hunt for some vintage curtain clips for a couple rooms in our old house. Boy, did I hit the jackpot on Etsy. If you’re in the market for the same, look no further.
Do you drink wine? Do you have kids or grandkids? If you answered yes, you’ve got to see this collection of wine cork crafts. I want to make the little sailboats for my grands to float in their AquaGarden. They’ll be a big hit, for sure!
That kitchen redo was a relief! In my house in Glen Ellyn there were three and one half baths and all of them had those weird colors…all different!…and trimmed with black. They drove me crazy! But not as crazy as turning around and finding Ronald McDonald in my house would have!
The mid-century bath redo was awesome and cost effective. As for the parade, don’t you love those? This has been a great week of posts, thank you.
Loved this post. Opening with daisies. My fav.
Green bathroom. I was so afraid it was going yo be a gut job.
Stephs house!
Boats!
Great post.
I am no expert but I didn’t care for the mix of patterns in some of the rooms were a little too much. Love the bathroom redo with the old green fixtures. That kitchen with those old cabinets and how they fixed it was exceptional. Those cork ships were so cute. Thanks for another great Friday!!
