Old World Kitchen Tour You Don’t Want to Miss

kitchen ideas April 8, 2020

I think it’s time for another beautiful room tour, and today I’m featuring an Old World Kitchen tour by my favorite kitchen designer – deVOL Kitchens. I might be in the minority, but I much prefer an old school kitchen as opposed to a high-end, contemporary kitchen.

I love free-standing pieces in a kitchen and this pantry/armoire is a dream! It has plenty of storage space and it’s such beautiful piece of furniture. It looks especially charming beneath the white-beamed ceiling.

This old world kitchen has worn wood floors that call to mind many years of cooking homemade meals. The large kitchen island lends valuable counter space. And look at that wonderful white ironstone collection in the free-standing pantry.

Shaker style cabinets are a signature element of deVOL Kitchens. The portrait oil painting, peg rack with a quaint basket, recessed window in the brick wall, and farmhouse sink all lend to the charm factor of this country style kitchen.

This photo angle shows how expansive and functional the kitchen the island is.

A large, professional style stove takes residence on the other side of the kitchen.

I love all the old world charm of this kitchen from the U.K. deVOL Kitchens recently opened a location in New York City, and I hope they open a location in Chicago so I can go visit their kitchen artistry in person.

How refreshing! Love it, it’s classic and timeless. I think what people are going to find with all this granite and stainless steel that those are just trends that will fall by the wayside as did copper appliances and laminate counter tops. You can never beat butcher block in my opinion., as well as all the other elements in this kitchen that will always make it beautiful no matter what’s in style.

I agree! I much prefer this kitchen over the too modern ones. This one is so cozy & love the freestanding pieces. The island is huge & great! Thanks so much!

This is what kitchens should look like, hard working and a nice place to spend your time.
