The Gorgeous Colors of Fall

Although I love summer, I love fall too! I’m enjoying the emergence of the gorgeous colors of fall. Everywhere you turn there’s visual evidence of autumn’s charm. From the turning of leaves to the gathering wheat in the farm fields, there’s an abundance of eye candy.

Wouldn’t it be fun to stack a pile of pumpkins, squash, and gourds out in the yard? Our local farm market is now carrying a variety of heirloom pumpkins.

When I was a kid, I only remember orange pumpkins. Nowadays you can find them in a range of colors. The softer shades of fall are so pretty.

Mums provide a range of brilliant fall colors to add to your landscape. I’ve got a tree stump and I’ve got a big galvanized bucket. I think I’ll recreate this autumn container garden with stunning winter sage.

Since my house is yellow with blue trim, I like to add orange pumpkins on my porch decorated for fall.

A red house is perfect for the autumn season – although I have to admit I’m partial to red houses.

  1. Thank you for showing the colors of fall. That is the one thing I do miss since I live in Florida. But we do have signs of fall here. The leaves on the crepe myrtle tree actually do turn colors and fall to the ground.

  2. Pretty fall colors. Though I live in Southern Arizona, with the temps in the 80’s & 90’s still, I’m going to decorate for fall this coming week. I’m looking forward to it. Those mums give me inspiration!
