Step Inside a Low Country Home with Southern Style
The first time I traveled to South Carolina I immediately fell in love. The ambiance of live oak trees dripping in Spanish moss coupled with low salty sea breezes tugged at my heart strings. So today I’m excited to share a gorgeous low country home by Linda McDougald Design with classic southern style.

You’ll find the use of natural wood and neutral tones throughout the low country home. The dining room features a rustic wooden farmhouse table and plenty of beautiful windows.

The kitchen is large with plenty of built-ins and custom trim work – like the amazing ceiling. Dark hardwood floors provide a nice contrast to the white cabinetry.

Of course, I love the wrap around windows in the kitchen. The black counter tops lend an air of sophistication.

The walls in the kitchen remind me of the wall color in my dining room.

The living room features the same neutral tones as the kitchen and dining room. Personally, I prefer homes where your eye flows from one room to the next without a jarring change of colors.

A vaulted ceiling in a bedroom provides a sense of spaciousness. Soft tones create serenity and peacefulness.

Oh Yes.
I could live here. It SHOUTS Hilton Head, right?!

GORGEOUS house. It does shout Hilton Head! Thank you for another wonderful home tour.
This is a beautiful house. It is so nice to see another color besides gray as a neutral. Thank you for another lovely home tour.
Another lovely home that bores the heck out of me. Out with the funeral home colors and bring back happy color used with great taste! Neutrals are sooo overdone.
In this day of nothing but chaos all around, how nice to come home to a neutral environment. Pops of color can be placed all around the house, and changed at will. Why be locked into one color pallet, in which you are limited to coordinate with your decor.
Beautiful but it sure could use some color.
Lovely, Homey and Welcoming! Thanks for sharing.
Hope all is well and everyone is safe and healthy, enjoying these beautiful Fall days!
Sweet home. Gee, I remember a time, not too long ago, when black countertops like in this home got ripped out and replaced! Staying “in style” could almost become a form of slavery or idolatry!!! 😵💫
This home is really beautiful! I love all the paint colors and completely agree with you in regards to having paint colors that aren’t drastically different from room to room. I really love the windows in this house, too!
