Misty Meadow Home Tour

Charming Home Series, home tour January 7, 2018

Misty Meadow. Doesn’t the name alone make you want to tour this beautiful home by Buchanan Construction? The beautiful stone work and arched doorway draws you into this stunning home located in the mountains. I think you’re going to love today’s Misty Meadow home tour!

This view is looking outside through that same arched doorway. Rather than being greeted by a staircase that leads up to a second floor, the stairway heads down to the lower level. Shiplap walls encase the foyer with farmhouse charm.

The living room boasts a beautiful fireplace with light green tile. Expansive windows provide an amazing view of the mountains.

The TV above the fireplace mantel is hidden by sliding barn-style doors when not in use.

Vivid blue chairs pair with a sunny yellow rug underfoot in the dining room.

To the right of the dining table is a pretty Dutch door leading outside.

Off of the dining room is an stunning kitchen with bright blue knobs (to match the dining chairs) and a tin ceiling.

You’ll find a charming bright blue stove in the kitchen with scalloped trim. A dark wood floor keeps the bright space grounded.

Here’s a view of the staircase leading to the lower level from the foyer. Note the subway tile pattern on the stair risers.

A white palette continues on the lower level with a brightly colored yellow sectional.

The family room has a stone fireplace that matches the outside entry of the home.

Outside is a great place for cookouts and outdoor entertaining! Not to mention the fabulous views of the mountainous countryside.

I’ve never seen white subway tiles on the stairs like that. It’s a good idea because white painted risers always get scuffed.

Love the white subway tiles on the stair risers. What a great idea.
Don’t love the foyer with the stairs in the middle of the room. Off to the side would have made this space much more usable and attractive.
I’m not a fan of yellow, but love the blue touches in the kitchen and dining space.
All in all, a tour with a different look. Thanks for sharing.

Isn’t it just the loveliest house and location. I had an aunt i use to go see as a little girl, their house backed up to a hill and i loved it and dreamed of having one some day. On one side was a hill and the front had a creek,it burnt down and they moved closer to town.Thank you.

Wow! This home is amazing. It doesn’t make me want to move, but it sure makes me want to paint and decorate 🙂
