Modern Farmhouse That’s Not Afraid of Color

Charming Home Series, home tour August 19, 2018

Fixer Upper style gave rise to simple farmhouse decor in black, white, and neutrals. Today we’re touring a Maine modern farmhouse that’s not afraid of color.

Window treatments aren’t needed when you have a forest of trees just outside. A large sailboat gives a nod to the home’s location in Portland.

Rather than choose basic white for the cabinets in the butler’s pantry, the homeowners opted for a colorful yellow-green in their modern farmhouse.

I love this one! Pinned at least two pics for inspiration. I love a color too – still calm, but not depressing!

Just enough color to make it really vibrate. Most of the colors they use repeatedly through out the house. Made you want to see what was next. Thanks enjoyed.
