Bethany Beach Cottage Tour: Rent It on VRBO

Normally I save Thursdays for room tours, but today I have the honor of featuring a charming beach cottage that you can rent for vacation through VRBO. The home is located in Ocean View, Delaware and is just a short drive (or walk) to Bethany Beach.

 

I love when readers reach out to me to share pictures of their own decor-or in this case-a request to have their VRBO property featured. It’s so cute, how could I refuse? Plus I love looking for vacation rentals on either VRBO or Airbnb before we head off on a vacation. I find the properties to be more comfortable and personal than a hotel.

The front porch provides a great opportunity for enjoying your morning cup-of-joe. The outdoor space is something I always consider when choosing a rental home for vacation. There has to be a spot for enjoying the outdoors, whether it’s a screened porch, front porch, or backyard deck or patio. It’s a must-have for me.

 

Step inside and be amazed at the perceived space of this charming yellow home. The open concept floor plan lends an air of spaciousness. It has everything you need for your stay.

 

A fireplace is always an added bonus, especially if you’re vacationing during the cooler months. When we go to Galena for Christmas, we use the rental’s fireplace every single day.

 

Of course, plenty of comfortable seating is a priority, too. I tend to choose vacation homes that are decorated the way I like and with updated furniture. It just seems cleaner to me. This one is simply and beautifully decorated in a coastal vibe.

 

The pretty dining room is situated between the living room and kitchen. Tufted chairs pair with a modern set of Windsor-style end chairs at the wooden farmhouse table. When rooms are staged for photos to promote the property, that’s generally a good sign that the owner pays attention to details, which means they’re probably good hosts.

 

 

The kitchen is located on the far end of the home and has a beautiful bay window to let in lots of natural light.

 

Industrial style shelves hold dinnerware and serving pieces (all color-coordinated, of course).

 

The kitchen has an amazing view of the water through the large bay window. You can see that the beach cottage is located in a quiet, residential neighborhood. Neighborhood is also important when selecting a vacation rental. I always read the reviews to see if anyone complains about the location and sometimes even look at the street view in Google.

 

You can easily access the back outdoor living space through the kitchen door.

 

Several tables and chairs are available for dining al fresco off the kitchen door.

 

Back inside, the bedrooms are tastefully decorated and the beds look comfortable. I’ve always wanted a bedroom like this with windows all around. Some people might feel like they don’t have enough privacy but all you need to do is close the shades.

 

This bedroom has a great view of the water outside the large window.

 

Here’s an aerial view of the neighborhood which gives you a good idea of where you’ll be staying and the amenities you can enjoy. What’s not to love?

 

You can rent this charming cottage located near Bethany Beach through its listing on VRBO. I don’t think I’ve ever been to Delaware and need to put this on my travel bucket list. Hopefully I live long enough to see all the places on that growing list!
