Modern Farmhouse on Perch Lake, Wisconsin

home tour December 22, 2019

Take a break from the hustle and bustle of Christmas preparations and join me for a tour of this beautiful modern farmhouse located on Perch Lake, Wisconsin! So many unique details to enjoy like the removal of doors on an entry closet to create a nook with a wooden bench and hooks for coats and hats.

The home is “modern” because it features an open concept floor plan. From this side of the dining room, you get a glimpse of the living room and stairway.

From the living room, you can see through to the dining room and kitchen.

Custom cabinetry defines the modern farmhouse kitchen with its dark counter tops and warm wood floors.

I love all the details in this modern farmhouse, like the rustic stone fireplace.

And the way furniture is strategically placed in nooks like this gorgeous antique buffet. Other details like the board and batten and various trimwork throughout the modern farmhouse make it unique and appealing.

Or how about this amazing staircase wall with rustic wood slices that you won’t find anywhere else? These are the types of details that personalize a home and make it truly unique.

The bedrooms in the western Wisconsin home are serene and peaceful.

Even the nursery gets a custom touch with a painted wall mural.

A three season porch with vaulted ceiling creates extra space for warm weather dining.

I really do like this home. It’s very much my style – except for the wall with the wood slices. While it’s attractive and unique, in my own home I would have to imagine it with cat and dog hair sticking like a magnet to each and every wood slice. LOL
It’s lovely and baby Hazel’s nursery is amazing. Thank you for the tour.

I just love your home. Perch lake is our favorite lake to go to. We lived down the road from there for years

Wow! With the exception of the wood slice wall, I love it all.
