The front door features a Farrow & Ball paint color called Raspberry. A speakeasy peephole is a unique addition to the door which looks bright and cheery against the white walls. It sets the stage for the color in the rest of the home.
A second bedroom serves as both a home office and a cozy retreat, featuring an Anthropologie daybed and a vintage Monterey wooden chair. A classic George Nelson white pendant brings a touch of mid-century modern style.
Custom shaker style cabinets wearing Farrow & Ball paint include beadboard wrapped around the kitchen island. A mix of upper cabinets and open shelving enhances the vintage style with a fresh new look.
Above the blue island is a skylight uniquely covered with a stained glass window. I don’t think I’ve ever seen this use of a skylight before.
An enclosed porch was transformed into a cozy dining corner with a banquette and custom-made cushions. A contemporary round table adds to the eclectic appeal of the home’s craftsman charm.
Lining the shelves is the homeowner’s collection of California vintage pottery in green and blue that matches the cabinets. White quartz counter tops pair with off-white subway tile for classic appeal.
A collection of Presidential portraits decorate the built-in hutch on the far wall. The modern-style rug is by Design Within Reach.
A custom window lends craftsman charm and plenty of natural light to the dining room. Rich honey wood floors run throughout the home.
The hearth surround in the adjacent living room features green floor tiles and turquoise wall tiles, while the interior of the fireplace is painted black, which makes the turquoise pop. Moroccan accents include vibrant pillows, a vintage red side table, and a pink contemporary kilim rug.
The bathroom is fun and cheery with a contemporary style shower curtain and a wonderfully vintage light fixture. The trio of windows is typical of craftsman style and adds to the eclectic appeal of this space. A wood vanity lends warmth while penny tile flooring adds classic design. I think this bathroom is perfection.
The neutral gray exterior disguises the fun color inside this tasteful and whimsical house. The color may have been too much for some of you, but you can’t deny the craftsman charm of this appealing home.
