For those of you who love farmhouse style decorating, you’re going to love today’s modern farmhouse tour. This remodel by Picture Perfect House features all the elements of country style you love, without the clutter. I’m ready to move right in!
The white fireplace in the living room above is a great example of a budget-friendly way to make over worn-out looking red brick. Just give it a coat of fresh paint. White paint allows you to still enjoy the texture. A statement wood mantel finishes the look.
The living room enjoys a view into the kitchen with its pretty breakfast nook. The wood floors allow your eye to flow from one room to the next.
The kitchen in this modern farmhouse style home is pretty amazing. You can get away with larger pendant lights over the island when they’re clear glass. It would be a shame to obstruct the view of the custom cabinetry and hood vent over the stove. I always love a mix of wood and white so this kitchen totally captures my heart.
A simple dinette with a black iron chandelier is all that’s needed in the breakfast nook. I like that there’s nothing else to distract from the serenity of this space – except for a pretty floral arrangement that adds a small pop of color.
Between the kitchen and living is a built-in home bar. A stained wood wall gives it a rich look.
The dining room is also simply yet elegantly decorated. Note how the bamboo shades mimic the wood tone of the dining chairs.
A cool blue vanity in the bathroom pairs with a black octagon tile floor. Black hardware and light fixtures add cohesiveness – and how cute is that little arched window? Pretty cute, right?
This room has more of a mid-century modern vibe going on. Velvet furniture is really popular right now and this green one reminds me of the pair of gold velvet couches my mom had back in the 1970s.
Even the mudroom is attractive. I love the way the designer used deep colors and wood to break up the white spaces in the house. Everything looks so fresh and comfortable.
