Simple Christmas Decorating Ideas
We’re in the last weeks of Christmas and I truly hope no one is stressed out. Take a deep breath, grab a cup of your favorite coffee, and sit back and take a moment to enjoy these simple Christmas decorating ideas. Some of you may not have put your tree up yet and if you need some quick holiday decor, these ideas should help.
Create a pretty table top Christmas tree by cutting off the end of a fir tree branch and placing it in water. Add a couple of red and white striped bows and you’re good to go. So simple. So cute!
Grab an inexpensive plain evergreen wreath from your grocery store (they’re fairly inexpensive) and add a festive candy stripe bow.

Place a stretch of fresh pine garland on the foot of your banister and add a bough of bells on the newel post for instant holiday decor.

Keep tree decorating simple by hanging only large ornaments from the tree. No need to add complicated garland!
A pair of birch branches create a convenient spot for hanging ornaments. Simple decorating ideas like this will keep you from getting stressed out during the holiday season. Red and white bedding is a great idea, too!
A very simple wreath is all that’s needed to decorate the wall space above the dining table. In fact, sometimes simpler decorating makes a bigger statement than a fussy vignette.
Toss Christmas pillows around the house for super easy decor. If you steer clear from novelty pillows with holiday graphics, you can use the pillows for more than just the Christmas season.
Add a simple garland to your mantel. Hang small ornaments from a garland with tiny balls. The balls will keep the ornaments from sliding. Pom pom trim works perfectly and is inexpensive, too.
Got a favorite ornament? Put it on display with an ornament stand.
Create a simple sign for Santa with a small piece of chalkboard you can find in any craft store. Hang it from a door or window and add a piece of greenery or a pretty bow.
