When asked to identify a favorite season, I think fall is the most popular answer. Spring or summer probably come in next, with winter as the least favored choice. But today’s snow-covered homes might help you appreciate the quiet beauty of winter.

A red house always looks pretty in fresh-fallen snow and this pretty New Hampshire home is no exception.

We only have a light dusting of snow here outside of Chicago. The snowstorm that blew through a few days ago just missed us. Although I’m not a fan of winter, I do love the look of fresh snow. And I like the two-tone siding on this new construction home in Crested Butte.

It might be fun to spend a weekend in a snowy tiny house with the breathtaking mountains of Frankfurt, Germany, in the background. Huddle up around the fire with cocoa and marshmallows to roast.

A cozy black house is nestled in the trees just outside of Toronto. My son wants to build a new house and he wants it to be black and tan. Black is becoming a somewhat popular color for home exteriors.

Nestled on Lake George in New York is a beautiful, European-inspired home. A pair of matching boat houses create curb appeal (in this case, lake appeal)’

  1. I loved the old stone home it was so regal looking in all that snow. I live in Oklahoma and had about 5-6in. It’s melting a little every day but it was beautiful.
