A rich blue velvet couch takes center stage in a room wrapped in grass cloth wallpaper and white molding. Soft shades at the windows add a bit of femininity. When you have elegant trim work, shades are a great choice so as not to hide the details of the trim.
A marble-topped coffee table with gold legs lends a bit of glam, along with bouquets of pink flowers.
Colorful pillows line the velvety soft couch while bohemian style ottomans can be used as additional seating or as foot rests. Or maybe the family has a cat or two who like to lounge on the fuzzy stools.
The statement rug by Caitlin Wilson reflects the colors of the couch and pillows and lends drama to the space. Light blue upholstery was chosen for the side chairs which helps to lighten up the furnishings.
You’ll see hints of gold throughout this beautiful living room. Gold candle holders frame the picture television above the fireplace and end tables wear a gold finish.
Half moon tables are used beneath the windows which is a clever way to add tabletop surfaces without taking up a lot of space. A more modern light fixture was chosen for floor lighting.
