Tour a Simple Farmhouse Cottage
Today’s home tour by Kelly and Co. Design features a simple farmhouse cottage style dressed with a light hand, allowing the home’s beautiful bones to stand out.
The home’s entryway includes a rustic bench upholstered in linen grain stripe fabric. Windows are left unadorned so as not to block nature’s beautiful views outside.
Spring green cabinets in the kitchen lend a nod to the greenery outside. Ship lap walls and ceiling add texture and interest while a rustic wood table acts as a kitchen island.
Wood flooring adds to the kitchen’s earthy ambiance. If my own kitchen floor wasn’t green tile, I’d seriously consider the same cabinet paint. It looks so refreshing against the white walls.
Unpainted paneling in the family room feels like you’re getting a big old hug when you enter the space. I’m loving the texture in this room and appreciate a few elements of metal on the furniture and floor lamp.
Another set of unadorned windows in a sitting area shows a sneak peek of the red outbuildings on the property. Leather club chairs create a cozy corner for morning coffee or afternoon tea.
Another cozy corner features a pretty loveseat and framed French grain sack. Simple artwork for a simple farmhouse cottage.
I’m in love with this simple powder room. A beautiful sink and tile floor stand out against white shiplap walls. A vintage medicine cabinet completes the scene.
Who would’ve thought an old farm pitchfork could look so pretty? I love how it’s centered at the end of the hallway.
A wooden stool acts as a nightstand for the simple farmhouse cottage bedroom. Pretty neutral pillows and bedding don’t distract from the tufted velvet headboard.
The black and white bathroom is reminiscent of Joanna Gaines’ Fixer Upper style.
The walk-in shower enjoys subway tile and the adorable tiny window adds a hint of natural light.

The floor tile in that bathroom is gorgeous!
LOVE the simplicity. Beautiful home.
I enjoy these types of homes as opposed to some of the mega-mansions shown recently. they seem over decorated/styled.
I look forward to your Sunday tours. Thanks.
I also find the beautiful simplicity of this home very relaxing. It also lends itself for easy decorating for various holidays and seasons. I really like the color of the cabinets in the kitchen but I like to use green in my home wherever I have a color choice. Thankyou for the tour.
Another beautiful tour. I’m loving the new style of shower doors. It’s so hard to make a shower area look anything but stark unless you use a shower curtain. I too love the green kitchen cabinets, but also, you know how much I adore your green tile floor — it’s one of a kind and is stunning with white and wood accents.
Thanks Jennifer i look forward to these tours to see what is happening. Peaceful and lovely is what the kitchen description is, what a plain and simple furnished house, i love it.
The stone fireplace is special. The light greens blend with the rug. Then, the beautiful mantel . it’s either on big chunk of wood or stone. It is peaceful the calm colors that blend so well.
This is absolutely gorgeous!!
Beautiful.. I love the rustic chairs and all the furniture which is an uplifting element of the cottage 🙂
Love the green cabinets! Do you know what color they are? Green can be a hard color to get just right.
The kitchen cabinet color is both fresh and calming at the same time. Not a color you see very often on cabinets. Very pretty with all the white.
The kitchen is adorable and the green cabinets are growing on me. The tufted velvet headboard may be my favorite. There is something very special about velvet anything:)
Adore the kitchen and everything else. She’s just finished her personal cottage, too. Oh my, thanks for showcasing this designer!
I agree with much of all the other comments. And overall find the cottage “peaceful and lovely.”
Another lovely, not over the top house. That green kitchen is so me and I have the bathroom floor tile in my laundry.
