Modern Farmhouse with Industrial Style
Today’s home tour has a special place in my heart because this modern farmhouse is where we stayed during our recent vacation to Door County in Wisconsin.
We needed a house with plenty of bedrooms and four baths, and the modern farmhouse didn’t disappoint. The lower level has an open concept floor plan – perfect for letting the family all be together in the same space.
The kitchen, dining room, and living room are basically all one room. Of course, I loved all the windows that showed beautiful views in every direction.
Our modern farmhouse vacation rental is located on three acres and we loved the privacy it afforded our family. Everyone loved the kitchen and the rest of the house. It was perfect for our group of twelve.
The first level had a garage style door that opened to the outdoor deck. Once the door is lifted, there are two screen doors so you could enjoy open air without any bugs.
Here’s a view of the al fresco dining where we enjoyed breakfast and lunch. It was so peaceful with all the surrounding trees and wildflowers.
The bedrooms are simple yet tastefully furnished. This is the master bedroom where one of my daughters and her family slept.
The master bathroom has a rain shower attachment above the tub and there are windows to the right with a view of the trees.
Above the garage is the charming bunkhouse. We called this my grandson’s bachelor pad. The couch face a large TV and the curtains reveal cozy bunk beds.
We enjoyed s’mores out here by the fire pit a couple of nights. Just beyond the tree line is Kangaroo Lake.
A long gravel driveway leads to the house. Although it’s secluded, it’s close to the town of Baileys Harbor.
We loved going for walks down the driveway because there’s an abundance of wildflowers and vegetation.
And just down the road is Kangaroo Lake. The pier at the end of the road was a great place to view the sunset.
You can view the modern farmhouse in Door County on Airbnb if you’re interested in renting it. I highly recommend it.

What a beautiful and comfortable place to stay. I’m sure it made vacation time with your family even better.
If looks can be deceiving. While the outside looked rather drab and plain, the inside for sure made up for it. The kitchen open floor plan was lovely. I especially liked the room with the bunk beds it looked very playful. It definitely looked comfy for your family of 12. I’m so glad your vacation time with your family was such a success.
It looked really inviting and cozy for your family vacation, plenty of room for all. The surrounding area was nice too.
