The living room is exactly what I dream of when I think about enjoying warm fuzzies on a cold winter day. A boulder fireplace, rich leather chairs, and a big old comfy couch.

The kitchen in the lake cottage is a creamy, warm white with beautiful tones of wood on the ceiling, counters, mug peg rail, and the kitchen island. Gold hardware adds to the warmth of the space.

The kitchen enjoys a pop of fun color in the form of an aqua SMEG refrigerator.

A Scandinavian wooden bench and wood table add to the warmth of the kitchen’s dining area.

A colorful abstract print draws attention to the upholstered dining chairs, The curtain pattern and color is a good complement. The round jute rug looks great against the rich wood floors and is making me think of the same kind of rug for my dining room.

Next to the dining room of the lake cottage is the family room with another fireplace, this one white painted brick. Notice the lamp in the back left corner perched in a plant stand. Clever!

The master bedroom looks like it belongs in a cozy lake cottage. Linens on the bed pair with a quilted coverlet at the foot. Rather than choose a large wall print, a small gold-framed image adorns the bed.

A corner of the bedroom enjoys a cozy reading corner with a beautiful, gold vintage mirror.

While the master bedroom has horizontal painted paneling, the children’s bedroom has the same paneling installed vertically. Although the patterns are different, the colors in the rug and quilt are similar, profiding a cohesive look. Such a charming room!

How cute is this vintage style bathroom? It doesn’t have a lot of adornment, but it doesn’t need it. The free-standing tub and vintage shower rod should get all of the attention.

  1. Very fun cottage. I really like the living room. I like the shade of green they used on the walls and the fireplace is amazing.
