Thanksgiving Table Settings
One thing I love about this time of year is that bloggers get together more often to showcase loads of inspiration. From home decor to recipes to table settings and more. Today I’m joining some fabulous bloggers for Thanksgiving table settings. A special thanks to Bre at Rooms for Rent for putting this blog hop together! I thought it would be fun to share some of my favorite table settings from my home over the past couple of years. I hope you’ll find something that you can use at your own Thanksgiving table this year!
This Thanksgiving table is one of my favorites!
It features my antique China and gold flatware.
I created a rustic centerpiece using an old drawer lined with landscape burlap and filled with gourds.
DECORATING TIP: Landscape burlap is softer than regular burlap and will drape better.
For place mats, I glued together old book pages.
Once dinner is over, simply toss the place mats (no need to worry about kids spilling on them).
Last year I created a more colorful Thanksgiving tablescape.
I used my mother’s floral China that she handed down to me.
For the centerpiece, I tucked candles and vintage bottles in my little French crate.
A pretty table setting doesn’t have to be fussy. It can be sweet and simple like this one.
The Fall centerpiece features Baby Boos lined up on a French bread board.
Toss in a few acorns for a little added texture and you’re done!
I have a wee bit of a Baby Boo fetish. I love their creamy color and petite size.
The centerpiece for this tablescape is a stack of Boos stuffed in a wire cloche and set on a painted shutter.
I try not to always use candles or flowers as the centerpiece … it’s fun to think outside the box!
But when I do use candles for a table setting centerpiece, I like to wrap them in pretty papers.
I stuffed the candles, acorns and variety of Fall foliage in an old crate, then left some items out on the table looking as though they spilled out of the box.
If you don’t have a lot of time for a fancy centerpiece this Thanksgiving,
just grab a group of gourds and arrange them artfully on your table.
