Today I’m back at my daughter’s house to show how we cozied up her boys’ bedroom. Bridget originally chose a dinosaur theme but after seeing some cute stuff at our favorite store – the plans changed to an animal-themed bedroom.
On a side note – yay for June! It’s the first Saturday of the month and that means I’m joining my blogging friends for our Cozy Living series. You can see what coziness they’re sharing for June at the end of this post.
Back to the boys’ animal-themed bedroom. What prompted the change in decor was this adorable bear wall hanging that we found at Cocoon. As soon as I saw it I knew it needed to go in Bridget’s new home. I mean, her son IS named Bear, after all.
A smaller version of the bear wall art hangs from the closet’s glass door knob. It says, “Nothing but blue skies.”
We also spied these adorable felted wool animal heads and knew they were a must for the bedroom. All but the lion head are from Cocoon.
Aren’t these just the cutest???
Bridget wanted a world map for the boys’ animal-themed bedroom and this one fit perfectly since it has animals on it.
The map shows animals that are indigenous to the country. The colors are perfect for the room, too. It was a great find at Home Goods.
Bridget finally got all her bamboo shades hung and we draped the felt banner across the top of the window. A “Don’t Wake the Bear” sign is perfect for Bear’s big boy bed. It dawned on me that I didn’t take photos of the crib and reading corner in their cozy bedroom while I was there. I guess that will have to wait for another day.
Bear was curious about taking photos so I showed him how to look through the viewer to see what the camera sees.
