  1. What a wonderful place to live, it’s beautiful! I imagine the homeowners would never want to leave. Each room is gorgeous, so open and bright, I am especially fond of the kitchen and wish mine looked just like that!

  2. That is my kind of place. I live in TX where the summers are so steamy and hot that rarely does a shower make you feel better. I can feel that cool breeze in those pictures. Not sure I’d ever come inside! SO beautiful.

  3. Calm and soothing is what i feel after seeing this lovely home, even riding in a boat and seeing it at dusk would give you that feeling.

  4. Yes, it is a beautiful home. For those who grew up in RI, it is hard to watch all the coastal real estate being snatched up by mostly out of state people. I wish RI hadn’t been “discovered.” Articles like this are beautiful, but turn RI into other people’s playgrounds.
No, I’m not jealous. I live in a coastal home. i get that the local businesses are being supported during the summer months. But years ago, nobody was interested in RI (other than Newport.) Guess I wish for the old days…

    1. I can understand your pain. My hometown has also been “discovered” and is much larger than it used to be, but at least the city officials are controlling the growth in a good way.

I remember traveling to Rhode Island as a kid and seeing all the beautiful homes in Newport. I haven’t been back since but hope to travel to the east coast someday soon. It’s a beautiful area.

  5. Love the natural stone, all that millwork and the interesting angles in the ceiling of the stairwell.

  6. This house is so perfect! I absolutely love the kitchen and all the light fixtures throughout. And that view!!!

The winter would be different, I have no idea how that would be. But when it’s warm, count me in!
