Blue and Green Spring Mantel

country style, home decor, spring March 6, 2018

Spring decorating is in full force this week at my house. Yesterday I shared my spring sitting room and today I’m sharing the other side of the room. A spring mantel, which is decorated with a few blue and green items that caught my eye in my favorite store.

During a recent trip to Cocoon in Geneva, I spied beautiful vases in shades of blue and green. Cocoon is located in an historic home and I love wandering from room to room, knowing that each space holds something wonderful.

I saw the little glazed vases in the third room. The third room always holds my favorite finds.

And I knew I had to have these beauties for my spring mantel.

Then I saw this sweet little landscape canvas propped on its little easel and I knew I was a goner.

Mini Oil Painting

The colors in both the paintings I chose pair perfectly with the glazed vases.

The spring wreath above the mantel looks like it’s made of beer hops. I’m pretty sure that’s what it is. For the record, I don’t like beer. I prefer a glass of red wine.

Faux branches are tucked inside the larger green vases on my spring mantel.

What’s nice about the vases and mini canvases is that I can group them elsewhere to create new vignettes.

Thanks, Amanda. I love the paintings. The store had a couple more scenes in fall colors – I might have to go back and snag them for fall. 🙂

You have such a gift for putting small items together. I do use some of your ideas but I can’t say they look as good as yours. Oh well.

Jennifer, adore the small canvasses. They can be used so many times. The wreath is pretty. Not a beer 🍺 drinker either. A nice glass of wine 🍷 every time.

Love everything especially the canvases. Does the store have a website where I can order them?

Hi Debby. The store does have a website, but they don’t sell online. You could contact them though and they’d probably ship the canvases to you. You’ll find them here: http://www.cocoononline.com/
