Simple Country Style Christmas Mantel

Christmas November 20, 2018

My simple country style Christmas mantel is ready to spread some holiday cheer! Today you can enjoy 27 mantels at the links below, all decorated for the season.

The snow has already fallen here in the Chicago area and its making me feel all warm and cozy inside my humble farmhouse. I’m all about cable knits and faux fur this year in my newfound attempt to enjoy winter.

Bottle brush trees, whether white or green, have become a staple in my holiday home. I would be remiss if I didn’t add them to my country style Christmas mantel.

Vintage Christmas Bottle Brush Trees

I made this vintage style Christmas decoration years ago. It’s a small church atop a paper mache box that I covered with sheet music and and a tinsel type ribbon. Sprinkle on some glitter and a few miniature snowballs and you’ve got a cute little decoration.

A larger paper mache glitter box holds greenery and ornaments.

My new white ornament has a little light inside that I turn on when the sun sets.

Here you can see the detailing on the glitter box. These are great for decorating or using to tuck gifts inside. HomeGoods carries a variety of styles every Christmas season.

Vintage Christmas Vignette in Neutrals

Beautiful ornaments on my country style Christmas mantel add a little bit of glam.

A big fluffy wreath always looks good above a mantel.
