Scandinavian Style Loft in Serenbe, GA
Have you heard of Serenbe, GA? Me either. Until I found this amazing Scandinavian style loft decorated by Julie Holloway. Serenbe is a wellness community outside of Atlanta. The focus of living here is nature, fresh food, fresh air, and well-being. And the homes are beautiful, too!
Scandinavian style mixes simplicity and minimalism with functionality.
I love the use of botanical prints and images throughout this Serenbe loft. Especially since the community of Serenbe has a strong connection to nature with miles of nature trails.
Scandinavian style often includes a lot of white surfaces since Nordic days are so short during the winter.
White surfaces bounce the light around and put a bit of cheer and airiness into gray winter days.
Popular molded Eames dining chairs snuggle up to the round kitchen table for cozy meals.
You can see that some of the houses in the Serenbe community are fairly close together. It prides itself on providing big city amenities while enjoying a simpler lifestyle found in smaller towns with nature all around.
The bedroom is kept uncluttered and adorned with vintage poster prints. A simple charming quilt adorns the bed while windows are free of curtains to allow maximum light to pass through.
A second bedroom shares the same minimalist approach to decorating. I think the pom pom pillows are fun!
A Gustavian style bedroom dresser wears a gray wash beneath yet another botanical poster.

Love the art and lightness of the rooms and a cozy kitchen.
Wow. Very minimalist and clean. Since it’s a wellness/nature community, it would be interesting to see the homeowner association’s restrictions for living in this area. I would imagine there are qualifications and restrictions that wreak major havoc with constitutional and human rights. I doubt that I would fit in. 🙂
This home is so pretty! I love all the white with accents of black. It makes the artwork and interesting furniture stand out.
Not sure about no shades or curtains in the bedrooms though!
My best friend did that for years, and when I slept over I would literally drop out of bed and crawl over to a safe place in the room to throw my clothes on!
One year I taped paper up to make a curtain. She got the hint.
Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours!
God bless you all!
