Fall in Love with a Charming Little Beach Bungalow
Apparently I’m still in vacation mode because I fell in love with this charming beach bungalow by Cortney Bishop Design and am sharing it with you all today. Typical of seaside style, the cottage is refreshingly dressed in blue and white with a vintage vibe.
White walls and vaulted ceiling provides an airy backdrop to the blue and gray of the sea that you find in the furnishings. Lighter wood floors are reminiscent of sandy beaches. A surfboard and blue ukulele in the living room add their own coastal feeling while colorful pillows create a comfy place to relax.

The kitchen feels cool and serene, a perfect place to dine and cook on hot summer days. A trio of lights are designed to mimic a captain’s steering wheel on a boat. Banquette seating makes great use of the beach bungalow’s small footprint.

And that stove! Love its shape and color. Blue kitchen accessories complement the white cupboards and open shelves, from the KitchenAid mixer to the drinking tumblers. Toss in a few bright yellow items to represent the sunshine and this kitchen is good to go.

Have you ever seen a two-toned refrigerator? I think it’s so clever. Darker blue is used in the pantry just beyond the coastal style kitchen.

Graphic bedding covers the white metal beds in a kids bedroom with palm leaf wallpaper. If this was an Airbnb, I’d want to stay here.

The master bedroom is light and airy, like the rest of the beach bungalow, with a pretty mustard colored rug underfoot.

The bathroom enjoys the same vertical paneling as the rest of the seaside cottage. A green-blue paint color adorns the vanity while the flooring adds a fun pattern.

The icing on the cake is the spacious screened-in porch with string lights along the ceiling. This is the perfect gathering spot for morning coffee or after a day at the beach. A blue picnic table provides a dining spot to enjoy seaside breezes while you enjoy a meal or snack.

Did today’s beach bungalow by Cortney Bishop Design put a little pep in your step? Light, cheery homes are always refreshing and fun to see. They always make me want to go on vacation again.
I like the blond furniture. My first living room furniture in the 50’s was blond. I wish I had it now.
I love the stove. Any idea where I could get info on it?
Thank you!
I need help in deciding on which color paint for the outside of my beach house I live here all year round, and right now is painted an ugly grey, I was told an almond color with yellow canopies
