Modern Country Living in Santa Clara
We’re headed to the west coast today to tour a beautiful Santa Clara home that shows what modern country living looks like. A brick fireplace, warm wood floors and ceiling beams, enhance the uncluttered rooms throughout the house.
The entryway features a beautiful brick floor, custom cabinetry, and a really cute pup ready to go for a walk!
Here’s another view of the living room (and the cute puppy) that shows a butler’s pantry to the right and the kitchen to the left.
The Santa Clara kitchen is white and sleek with elements of modern country style like the subway tile and warm wood flooring.
The butler’s pantry features custom cabinetry in classic blue – which happens to be Pantone’s color of the year for 2020. More on that in a future post!
A sunny and charming breakfast nook enjoys a bank of windows and a banquette for seating. Just yesterday I shared breakfast nooks with round dining tables.
Rustic wood beams are used in the master bedroom at the peak of the vaulted ceiling and above the expansive window. Clean lines and uncluttered rooms create a modern country living vibe throughout the pretty Santa Monica home.
A screened in porch provides extra dining space with a large farmhouse table. A colorful, geometric-patterned rug atop the brick floor provides an unexpected and fun touch.
Large outdoor living spaces allow the homeowners to take full advantage of the balmy, Santa Clara weather.
Of course, I love the large container water garden on the pea gravel patio. It reminds me of my garden pond that looks a little barren now that the plants have died or gone into dormancy.

Really do love this home. Simple and clean surfaces and decor. However, I find that this isn’t the only look that I love. It seems that nearly every home you feature, I would happily live in. I guess I don’t have just one “favorite” when it comes to architecture or decor.
I’m more of a vintage type person but, if i had to, i know i could make the sacrifice ,lol!
I used to get your blog in my email and about 9 months ago I stopped getting your blog. I have tried several times to reconnect because I find your blog enjoyable and your home beautiful, but I have an no success reconnecting. Please add me back to your blog. Thank you.
Very nice, “simple and clean”, with a lot of warmth, and inviting appeal.
Loving the sofas in the living room and wondering where I could get information on them? Also for the gray Adirondack chairs on the patio? Thanks, Deb
