Happy New Year!! Hopefully you didn’t party too much last night.
During my 2014 Christmas home tour I shared my new white sectional, but I didn’t share much of the background story with you. For months I had been thinking about getting a new sectional. When it comes to furniture, I’m always shy to pull the trigger. I don’t know why. It’s just the way I’m wired. But when Kris at Junk Chic Cottage emailed me and asked if I wanted to buy her beautiful white sectional, I didn’t want to miss the opportunity!
I’ve always admired Kris’ sectional and she posted it for sale on her blog.
When it comes to furniture, I sort of need it to fall in my lap.
Otherwise I get cold feet and stick with what I’ve got.
But the size was just perfect and I couldn’t pass up something that fell into my lap.
The love seat and chairs just didn’t provide enough seating.
So we arranged a time to pick the furniture up at her house.
Kris lives about an hour away and I was excited to finally meet her! She gave me a full tour of her beautiful home, which I’ve featured in my Charming Home Series. You wouldn’t think it’s possible, but her home looks even prettier in person than it does in photos.
I need to get a few more pillows for it.
The coffee table is my childhood toy chest built by my dad. I painted it white.
I found this one in an unused farmer’s field.
The same with old books. There’s just something about them.
Wishing all of you a Happy New Year!!
